Not a journalist. Sharing anonymous stories about the abuse dealt by Scott Rudin. DM experiences / comment on the reddit thread linked in bio. #BlackLivesMatter
@tracykrupitzer If you have stories or know of people comfortable with sharing their own, feel free to DM. Alternatively I have made a reddit thread so that people may create burner accounts and post their stories: https://t.co/FawIihKj0o
I started this account/reddit thread to draw attention to Scott Rudin's abuse. It's getting that attention, but I am not the person to break any story about him. It deserves to be much bigger than that. (1/3)
It needs to be on its own and handled with care, compassion of his victims. Abuse is abuse, even if not sexual. I do not personally wish to speak with the media on this matter as it is not my place to. I will not be posting any more stories on this twitter. I WILL keep (2/3)

Sorry for the rant(thread) but:
Let's say you're a Black theatre artist who has, for years, been calling out for more Black stories to be told on Broadway, staffed by Black people, and starring Black people. (1/8)
@blackoutpete@DavidCote It's not easy nor does this question have a singular, clear cut answer. But it starts with taking the dialogue of Scott's abusive behavior to his employees seriously, not dismissing it as something that "just happens". Or not caring because it's happening to entry level workers.
They must face not only his abuse, but also have his blatant racism flashed in their faces. The leaked emails between himself and former Sony exec Amy Pascal regarding President Barack Obama is just a small peek into the racism that runs rampant in his office.
Why is it that our industry allows for the abuse that happens in Scott Rudin's office to continue? He is openly racist and verbally (sometimes physically) abusive to his employees. It's no secret. Yet film companies like
@A24
return to him time and time again.
connected by nepotism or wealth. He becomes their main connection and if they betray him, they "ruin" their chances in this industry. It's also to be noted that although Scott mainly hires white people (hmmm), this is even more harmful to his Black and brown employees.
@satans_twink@CosmicJonathan If you or other assistants/interns are interested in speaking out against the things you witnessed or experienced there, I've created a reddit thread for this. Additionally, if you'd prefer, feel free to DM with any stories you may have. I'm sorry you experienced him!
