fascinated by the downwardly mobile 27-34 year old guy who experienced an early win but struck out and never recovered. he has a bachelor's degree, professional upper-middle class parents and aspires beyond a 9-5 but can't build any momentum and is actively struggling

@NemisisThe913 Absolutely. The retirement and healthcare alone is worth it. Guys in my local retiring with upwards of a million in their pension. The apprenticeship is a serious commitment though, and it can take a real toll on your body over the years, but it beats bouncing around random jobs

Just spent a week at my union’s convention that only happens evetu 5 years. Elected delegates from every inside construction, outside, utility, and manufacturing local across the US and Canada. If you appreciate a good accent like I do, this was some of the best youll ever get

@as_a_worker Corded RIGID stuff was pretty good, but who uses that stuff anymore. They still make a good pipe wrench but thats made by the original company division, the battery power tools are all out sourced to a seperate manufacturer through home depot or something i think
