we should never accept migrants from countries that never had a significant number video rental stores, because those type of humans are fundamentally incompatible with us.

video rental stores require a lot of trust that you'll bring the video back in nice condition and on time. the penalty for not doing this is not very high, but it's what keeps the whole thing functioning well so the next person can rent the same thing, and you can rent what somebody else has etc. it also relies on the ability to take care for something that isn't yours, and doing things like re-winding, which have no direct benefit to you, but will again, keep everything moving more smoothly. the idea of re-winding a VHS when you are not going to watch it again is something that only benefits you if others also do this, low-trust people won't bother and take advantage of this, the way they do everything -- not realizing it's the beginning of the end.

it's a higher order idea that most of the world are entirely unable to conceptualize. something that we used to do all the time, weekly, is an incomprehensible level of trust and maintenance to the third world mind.

if a video rental store could not thrive in a town where these people are from, they are fundamentally unable to contribute to America or Europe in any way whatsoever.
