@charlotte2153 @UKLabour@deaf_centre Thank you very much for participating in the husting and congratulations on being elected. We look forward to collaborating with you in due course.
We made a short film to support #Deaf people in #Salford using both #BSL & spoken English used independently instead of as interpretation. See what we learned in a blog from @CordellJane & @Bobby_Martin#DeafAwarenessWeek2023@SalfordTogether @NHS_GM

@abigailgorman@braamjordaan We need to be assertive and start taking organisations/ companies to court for breach of single equality act, etc. Just do it.
@abigailgorman Doug Alker once said to me, "Deaf people have not suffered enough compared to LGBT and Blacks, etc". Take away PIP, stop deaf people driving, etc and you will have a fight on your hands.
Just seen an advert for BSL communicator only need level 2 qualification urgh it’s irony that educationists agree that language is crucial for one’s development but this fall short when it comes to BSL
@katerowley0 hello Kate hope you are well. I would be grateful if you could email me your presentation in warrington because I have left mdc. Thank you in advance.
Last year Manchester Deaf Centre’s job club was nominated for the ERSA award. We have been nominated again this year which is fantastic.
Job club staff will be travelling to London on 20th June. Keep your fingers crossed for us" -. Mark & Diptim “.@ersa_news#ERSAAwards1
My top tips for #DeafAwarenessWeek are:
1. Learn British Sign Language
2. Learn BSL
3. Learn the local sign language (in the UK, that’s BSL)
4. If you’ve already learned some BSL, you’ll want to learn more, so do that
5. You won’t regret learning as much BSL as you possibly can.
We’ve re opened our job vacancy for our BDM post. Great opportunity for the right person. Feel free to contact me and ask any questions about the role #jobs#businessdevelopment#youthwork
