Impressions are the least valuable result of digital marketing and considered the ‘fools gold.’

Anyone paying $3 per impression is either a complete and total idiot, or in on the game. Google marketing teams don’t want their reseller partners to talk about impressions as they view them as meaningless

These prices only make sense if the advertising is profitable for the buyers. And it is. The conferences and platforms selling these ads have almost no public audience, yet they regularly feature CEOs and generate engagement around specific policy issues.

I've wondered why Politico Playbook hosts events packed with high-value advertisements when the videos attract barely a hundred views on YouTube and appear to have little visible attendance.

Now we know why. Congress is being bought through those conferences.

Most people already sensed this. What these media platforms show is the mechanism that connects the money to the politics. I don't need to study lobbying law to recognize that it’s not coincidence when a safe red Republican senator from South Dakota has a near one-to-one overlap between major donors and Punchbowl sponsors.

Congressional Reform Act of 2026!

1. No Tenure / No Pension. A member of Congress collects a salary while in office and receives no pay when out of office. No more perks follow them.

2. Congress (past, present, and future) participates in Social Security. All funds in the Congressional retirement fund move to the Social Security system immediately. All future funds flow into the Social Security system, and Congress participates with the American people. These funds may not be used for any other purpose.

3. Congress must purchase their own retirement plan, just as all Americans do.

4. Congress will no longer vote themselves a pay raise. Congressional pay will rise at the same rate as the COLA for monthly Social Security recipients, minus 1% if there is a budget deficit.

5. Congress loses their current health care system and participates in the same health care system (Medicare) as the American people.

6. Congress must equally abide by all laws they impose on the American people (i.e., NO MORE INSIDER TRADING!!!).

7. All contracts with past and present members of Congress are void. The American people did not make these contracts with Congress. Congress made them by and for themselves.

Serving in Congress is an honor and privilege, NOT a career. The Founding Fathers envisioned citizen legislators who serve their term(s), then go home and return to work, not receive all kinds of freebies. Term limits of 2 terms, and treat them like regular citizens!

Interestingly enough there is a large portion of former players that push back hard against this stuff.

I’m of the belief that the game will come back around some from where it currently is.
At least on the development side. One thing about data is that it’s doesn’t lie.

You can only cover it up for so long before you get exposed.

Coaches and parents, if you want your player to get ahead in the game, and have a leg up as he advances, do these things 👇

1. Find a hitting coach that preaches hard contact and coverage to all parts of the field. Line drives! Your son should despise striking out as well!

2. Find a pitching coach that helps develop your son’s ability to throw STRIKES along with stuff.

Velo and stuff is important, but it doesn’t mean anything unless you are over the plate. FB command and off-speed command are huge.

Throw STRIKES!

3. Don’t let your kid be a “Tik-Tok” baseball player. He’s there to win and compete, not to dance and pimp homers down 7-1 in the 8th. Real winners hate losing.

4. If you want your kid to be special, then he needs to be different. Being different means he acts different, he works different, and he competes different.

My dad used to say this:

“Separate yourself from other players in a good way.”

If you want to be noticed by scouts or coaches, separate yourself from others in a good way. Hustle, encourage, and finally, COMPETE WITH ENERGY, not arrogance.
