Why is nobody talking about how much petrol pumps are cheating us in the uk? I regularly use 5l or 20l containers at uk gas pumps , last week I filled up to the 5l mark but the pump was saying 6l. This is not uncommon I see it all the time. I always flag it to the attendants.

Everyone complains about rising gas prices but nobody notices your never getting the amount you actually pump at the pump. On average I lose around 4l for every 70 pumped. Some places on the fiddle more than others but they all do it and all have the same excuses

They always say the same thing which is that the pumps are regularly checked (yes by who?) so not only are we ripped off on fuel but the we also don’t get the right amount of fuel. Try it yourself
