I think huge traffic and lack of metro connectivity in Bangalore is a well planned idea so that people are forced to stay near IT corridor and

> Pay ridiculously high rent and support real estate market.
> Pay atleast 1.5x to 3x more fees to school
> Create need of more 10 minutes delivery apps, and can claim that Bangalore is a Startup capital.
> Cabs and auto guys can loot you with surge pricing

🚨 Traffic Duty & Immediate Response – Nagawara Flyover, Bengaluru

Due to continuous rainfall today, severe waterlogging occurred on Nagawara Flyover, resulting in a traffic jam of approximately 4 kilometres on the Ring Road.

I was on traffic duty from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM around Nagawara Flyover and the surrounding areas. After noticing the heavy traffic congestion on Google Maps, I immediately proceeded to the location.

Upon reaching the spot and inspecting the situation, I found that garbage had blocked the road drainage grill, preventing the rainwater from draining properly.

I immediately cleared the garbage from the drainage grill. Within approximately 5 minutes, the accumulated water was completely drained, and traffic movement gradually returned to normal.

Timely identification of the problem and immediate action helped reduce the waterlogging and restore smoother traffic movement.

⏰ Duty Time: 5:00 PM – 10:00 PM
📍 Location: Nagawara Flyover & surrounding areas
🌧️ Issue: Heavy rain, waterlogging & traffic congestion
🛠️ Action Taken: Cleared the blocked drainage grill and helped restore normal traffic movement.

The Balagere T-junction is jam-packed at 7:15 PM today, with every approach in deep red, severely choked junction.

This is not a one-off. It is a daily failure of traffic management. Thousands of commuters lose hours here because no personnel are visible at the junction during peak hours. There is no signal or marshal to regulate turns, and nothing is done about wrong-side driving, blocking the box, or roadside parking and stopping near the cafe and charging station.

@blrcitytraffic @wftrps @ManjuTraffic @halairporttrfps, a junction this critical needs :
(1) trained personnel deployed 5–9 PM,
(2) a signal or timed phase system (3) strict enforcement against encroachment and wrong-side driving, and
(4) restricted heavy-vehicle movement during peak hours.

Commuters aren't asking for much, just a junction that works. We hope to see visible action soon.

As this bus passed by me, notice the absence of traffic on the road.

That’s because Rome has implemented “Limited Traffic Zone” or ZTL where access by private motor vehicles is restricted in many areas during specific hours.

This is not congestion fees, rather completely banning all forms of private vehicles during the period - and the enforcement is fully automated with cameras. The fine for a violation can be anywhere between 80-100 euros.

This approach of ZTL allows the city to restrict private car access while maintaining controlled access for necessary trips.
