Cabo Verde manager Bubista spoke about the level of pride he has for his team after an incredible run in this edition of the World Cup:
"Well, first of all, good evening.
First things first: I feel pride in my players and in what they did. They did it with dignity and courage.
And also a word to our opponent, Argentina.
I think they showed why they're world champions. I think I can say our team showed how willing they were to play this game, to play this match. I don't think any other team could have scored two goals against Argentina and then taken the match into extra time.
I think that shows the character of our team, how skilled our team was throughout most of the match.
We knew the quality of our opponent. It was going to be a tough match, as it truly proved to be against Argentina. But I think we did our best, and we did it with bravery.
And we never failed to stay true to our identity, which is why I'm so proud of what my players did throughout the match.
Obviously, at times during the match, you have to have courage and you have to be well-organized because of how skilled your opponent is.
But I think that being able to equalize against Argentina twice, after falling behind, shows how resilient our team is and how strong our character is as well."
Much to be proud about for Cabo Verde.

#CaboVerde just played one of the best performances I've ever seen. Nothing but respect to this team who has stolen the heart of my family and so much of the world
We ordered 2 Vozinha jerseys almost immediately in Group stage, but now I want a Cabral one as well!

For anyone upset about Sony’s move to end physical media,
I’d suggest heavily supporting Stop Killing Games
This initiative is literally fighting to protect exactly what these companies want to destroy. It aims to force publishers to ensure you can always access and play the games you paid for—even after they stop supporting them
Holy shit Mexico City right now 🤯….this is just to advance to the Round of 16 and I thought NYC was gonna burn when the Knicks won and that was nothing compared to this smh….our sports are nothing compared to the World Cup
شكرًا لك يا لورانس، وشكرًا لك يا كانساس. 🇺🇸🇩🇿

Thank you, Lawrence. Thank you, Kansas. 🇺🇸🇩🇿
As Team Algeria heads to the next stage of the competition, we simply want to say thank you.
Thank you for opening your community to Team Algeria and the Algerian fans who traveled to Kansas. Thank you for the friendship bracelets and keepsakes, the warm welcomes, the cheers, the conversations. And thank you for showing the world what Midwestern hospitality is all about.
Over the past few days, we've loved seeing the friendships, conversations, and community spirit that surrounded Team Algeria's stay in Kansas. These moments remind us how people-to-people connections live at the heart of the American-Algerian relationship, and why supporting them is such an important part of our work at the U.S. Embassy in Algeria.
Thank you Kansas for making Team Algeria feel at home. We'll keep cheering on them as the journey continues, and we hope you will too! ⚽💚

@Trevornoah They did the same thing to 15 year old Sina Movahed when he won Chess' Titled Tuesday tournament. He responded better than trained politicians; with grace said he's a chess player, that's his job, so if they have any questions about chess, he'd be glad to answer them.
🇩🇿 A heartfelt thank you to the citizens and the Mayor of Lawrence for their incredible hospitality and warm welcome to the team and all the supporters.
We also extend our deepest gratitude to the local police, the Sheriff’s Office, and the fire department for their outstanding support and presence throughout this unforgettable journey.🇩🇿🤝🇺🇸
What a journey with you ,truly grateful. 🙏🏼
The pregame broadcast showed four watch parties across the country.
Kansas City's was the best by a COUNTRY MILE.
Built different in America's heartland 🇺🇸
Not seeing anyone talk about how almost as soon as the march ended, clouds came in with thunder & poured down rain. They canceled the Fan Fest and a large crowd marched right back to Power & Light for shelter and watch party. But everyone had a blast!
Welcome to the Midwest! 🧡
