You miss a penalty while your team is losing 1-0, then your team concedes another goal. Everything looks hopeless, your side isn’t even creating anything, at this stage, most players would be mentally out of the game at that point, unable to contribute much.

But this man is not normal. He goes on to assist a goal, score another, and bring his team back into the game.

This is the same player people once questioned for his mentality, yet even at 39 years old, he keeps proving his doubters wrong. The greatest of all time.

@_Yusasif @CLINT419 Thing is the intention. There has been many instances where Egyptian players are caught to act a fall instead of an actual act. That last foul, if looked very closely, seems Salah instead of the ball, went a step ahead on his own to eventually fall. Hence, no foul was given.

@CLINT419 Egypt played really well. Argentina gave a better comeback. But that last goal is the real story that needs discussion.

@CLINT419 The cancelled Egypt goal was correct. The problem is it should have been stopped instantly and given the free kick, instead of allowing to race the ball to Argentina's net.

The 3rd goal of Argentina could be a catch though. As a similar foul would be Egypt's penalty.

The third could be controversial as no foul given inside the penalty which could have resulted otherwise. And then so many cards. Yellow. Saw many fouls. Many were uncalled.

The liking for Messi kept us invested what looked like a losing match for Argentina. Hope was only in the corner. Solid goal by Egypt. Missed penalty. Solid goal keeping by Egypt. A goal given and withdrawn. Another goal as comeback. Then Messi strikes. And end, another goal.
