Everyone’s mad Jeffries met with Kushner. They’re missing the actual story.

Kushner didn’t request a meeting with Speaker Mike Johnson. He went to Jeffries — the House Minority Leader who’d become Speaker if Democrats flip the House this fall.

Kushner even suggested Jeffries sit down with Trump’s Chief of Staff, Susie Wiles. That’s not a courtesy meeting. That’s succession planning.

And Johnson’s own reaction gives it away. He says he “heard about it for the first time this morning” — meaning Trump’s team didn’t even loop in their own sitting Speaker before Kushner went around him to the guy they think will replace him. Johnson brushed it off as Kushner just “hedging his bets.”

Translation: even the people closest to Trump are quietly preparing for a Democratic House.

That’s not a scandal. That’s a forecast.
