Anytime you wake up is your morning. That's why regret is such a wasteful emotion. There's no need to beat yourself up for the mistakes you made in the past. What is important is learning from mistakes & taking steps to make sure they aren't repeated.
I think there's a lesson to learn from the Adekunle Gold and OAU students issue. Even while we give in to exuberance and youthful mischief, students (and all of us, by extension) should be mindful of the consequences of thei actions on the person they're dealing with and themselves too.
From all I've read and gathered since last night. AG's anger is justified. The students who invited him knew he had only one track. He sang that track 6 times and they still pelted him with packaged water. As if that wasn't enough, they followed him to the hotel to collect half of what they had paid him.
Leaving the money aside, their action at the stage can leave a young and new act demoralized. We can do better as a society. Empathy should not go out of the door, even when we show our grievances.
I’ve been reflecting on that P. Daniel video and the unsettling dishonesty many Christian men reveal when women express that they don’t want to marry pastors.
There’s a particular kind of tone-deaf entitlement masked as spiritual devotion. When a woman says she wants no part
You know your relationship has grown when you can say NO and it’s understood even if it’s not accepted. The Ones you love and that love you must be comfortable with your NO. Hope it makes little sense???
JAMB should be scrapped out.
When a student is done with secondary school, let the student pick his university of choice.
The school should schedule an entrance examination for all candidates, and admit those who passed.
Simple and short.
If you’re someone—especially a guy—struggling with lust or immorality, the gym is not the place you should be. You won't win. Even as a woman, I’m often perplexed by what some ladies choose to wear. Like, why are you wearing see-through outfits to the gym? Everything is literally on display. For what purpose, really? Unless you came for something else sha.
Extremely cruel to humiliate a mother in front of her daughter like this. Even worse that this was recorded and posted on social media.
My mother used to sweep people’s houses and gutters in 2016. It hurt too much that I could do nothing financially to stop her. I often insisted on going with her, just to help fetch the water she needed so we could finish quicker and get back home before daylight. I didn’t want anyone to see us. The poverty that pushes one to hide their labour in the dark is a painful one.
Yes, that child should not be working. But more than outrage, what she and her mother deserve is compassion. The only humane response is to help.
If no one has done this already, I would like to take full responsibility for the girl’s education through university. I hope this eases their burden in some way. These are incredibly hard times.
Our Privilege blinds us in ways we’ll never truly understand.
Still a firm believer in the fact that a good way to tell if someone is suitable for a relationship is by examining what they’ve already committed to in their own personal life
what have u kept showing up for despite what may have went wrong, for an extended period of time?
