Social Media giants claim their rules protect users from targeted hate and harassment. Yet @Twitter is allowing bigots to boost anti-LGBTQ+ hate and disinformation.

Great synopsis of Dame Geraldine Cadbury's contribution to social policy and particularly on improving how children were treated by the criminal justice system.
Hey are you in despair about Ukraine - this is something you can do right now. Ive just done it - i found a cafe in Moscow, wrote in the review the truth about the war & added photos of news coverage. Getting the truth to ordinary Russians is key to helping this stop. Do it now
More @yougov polling just published today - even higher support for an even more generous policy - huge majority (77%) supporting allowing Ukrainian refugees *without visas* to come to U.K. - huge majorities across all political divides. Nearly half *strongly* support.
If you live in a city, local government and the private sector have got together to provide a brilliant way for you to save on soaring #petrolprices
It's called #publictransport. Get on board, start using it and stop moaning
There's a great opportunity at @finan_fairness for a Programme Manager to identify, fund and manage projects that improve financial well-being. Please spread the word! https://t.co/XNNZzj2T81
I want to see the progress I saw in offline spaces - football grounds, buses and trains, schools - emulated online.
The core is cultural change, including by enforcement of basic foundations. Earplugs for minorities wasn't the right approach for monkey chants & banana throwing.
@debbiepippard@360Giving Thanks Debbie. You're looking in the right place. Map is by grants cos by £ data is skewed by some things we're working on improving - representation of grants made for regranting, and most funders report where charity is based not where activity happens. £££ needs more nuance
Interesting geographical analysis of foundation grantmaking from @360Giving https://t.co/4qvR52UIp8. Though would like to see £££ as well as number of grants - maybe I'm just not looking in the right place?
Agree with @RyanShorthouse@WeAreBrightBlue's comments on need for strong sanctions on Russia re #Ukraine, with proviso that gvt mitigates economic impact on those who will be hardest hit https://t.co/6QsMUm0QKF
Not convinced this is right way to reduce govt subsidy on student loans. Penalises prospective students, especially the poorest
There are better ways, both in terms of fairness and revenue: extend repayment period; levy on unis with high subsidy rates

Agree with @ShonaMairead that there is a responsibility on companies to actively support wellbeing of their employees. Gvt also has a part to play incl. ensuring everyone can afford to take time off sick when they need it.
What does a "wellbeing economy" actually look like and how do we go about building one? Here's where I'm at - would love to know what others think... https://t.co/LAhsN7wm2K via @LinkedIn
The pandemic presented an opportunity to rethink relationship between our working lives and public health.
By removing day 1 sick pay & self-isolation payments, government is learning all the wrong lessons.
Sick pay needed strengthening not weakening:
