Today, we proudly inaugurate the new terminal at the Bahir Dar Dejazmach Belay Zeleke International Airport Terminal—a significant milestone for one of Ethiopia’s most important gateways. This project represents more than a modern terminal. Following the challenges Bahir Dar has experienced in the very recent past, it is a testament to resilience, recovery, and continued investment in the future.

The new terminal significantly enhances the airport’s capacity and passenger experience, supported by expanded aircraft facilities, upgraded infrastructure, improved access roads, and modern amenities designed to serve the region’s growing needs. Together with the urban transformation shaping the city, the new terminal positions Bahir Dar as another key hub for both international and domestic flights. It is my hope that the local community continues to safeguard its peace to reap the economic rewards of what a vibrant city like Bahir Dar offers.

The MESOB in Harar City is part of Ethiopia’s broader national initiative to modernize and integrate public service delivery through one-stop service centers. In Harar City, the MESOB platform currently brings together 8 institutions, operating through 24 service counters and providing 67 different public services to residents in a single location. This local implementation reflects the wider national effort to improve government efficiency, accessibility, and citizen satisfaction by reducing fragmentation across institutions and minimizing the time and cost required for people to obtain public services.

Across the country, the MESOB approach is being expanded as part of the government’s commitment to digital transformation and coordinated service delivery, positioning integrated service centers as a key mechanism for strengthening public sector performance and enhancing the overall citizen experience.

#US General Dagvin R. M. Anderson attended the closing of the 90th Anniversary Black Lions Air Show of the #Ethiopian Air Force, where he praised the professionalism and legacy of the ETAF.

The General expressed strong appreciation after witnessing the US Marine Corps MV-22 Osprey aircraft and commended Field Marshal Birhanu Jula and General Yilma Merdasa for their leadership and cooperation.

He also spoke about John Robinson, highlighting the importance of long-standing military and strategic relations between Ethiopia and the United States.

The presence of senior US and AFRICOM commanders at #ETAF90 reflects growing defense cooperation and mutual respect between the two nations.
