I heartily thank everyone who collaborated on this work published today in Development "A mutation in threonine synthase 1 uncouples proliferation and transition domains of the root apical meristem" https://t.co/ZCXZv3ILqq
On World Environment Day, let us remember that nature gives us everything without asking anything. My humble appeal to all is to protect trees, water, air and every life around us. Caring for nature is caring for humanity.
So proud to share our latest publication @CellCellPress! Yue Rui reveals that the same enzyme that makes the wall, cellulose synthase complex (CESA), also tethers the plasma membrane to the wall during water-deficit stress, providing resilience. https://t.co/53DUFaVxjt
Inaugurated a photo exhibition at Montana State University, USA, showcasing Incredible India and especially the rich heritage, culture and tourism places of Odisha.
I was very happy and surprised to see the memories of their India Trek visit being presented so beautifully on a foreign land. We had brought them to Odisha to experience what they called the “best kept secret of India”, and they have carried back those memories with so much love.
Seeing Odisha’s temples, sea, culture and people being shown with such respect in the USA made me very happy. The photographs of Puri, Konark, Chilika and many other places of Odisha were also showcased across 9 states in the north-western part of the USA.
My sincere thanks to Montana State University and photographer Sam Horine for presenting Odisha and India so nicely before the people of the USA.

Today, on the birthday of Shri Anant Ambani Ji, I am very happy.
I felt real happiness when I saw the smiling faces of my 40,000 KISS children. Today, he has brought joy into their lives in a very simple and caring way. He is hosting a special dinner for all our children. I feel happy thinking that my children will sit together and enjoy this moment.
He has also announced scholarships for our children. Our topper students, from KG to PG, will get an opportunity to visit Vantara and learn many things there. Along with this, study materials have been given to all the children for this year, which will help them in their education.
It is also a matter of happiness that every year, 30 of our KISS children will get job opportunities in the Reliance Group. For children coming from very humble tribal families, this support means a lot. It gives them confidence and a new path in life.
I feel that such happiness has not come to my children in this way before. Today, we are not only happy, we are also very grateful.
Prayers from the 40,000 pure souls of KISS children for the good health, happiness and long life of Shri Anant Ambani Ji. May he continue to do such good work for society.
I feel very happy to see my lovable KIIT & KISS students performing at the University of Craiova, Romania, under the Erasmus+ programme.
They are representing our country among students from 30 other countries and taking our rich culture and the Santali language to an international stage at the Shakespeare Festival.
My good wishes to all of them for this beautiful journey.
As you all know, 17th May is a very special day for all of us. It is the foundation day of Art of Giving, a day we celebrate across the world by its millions of followers, with happiness, togetherness, and a spirit of humanity.
Like every year, we come together with a simple and meaningful thought. Today, we have declared the theme of Art of Giving 2026 – “Share to Shine.”
This is a very simple idea. When you share what you have—your food, your time, your knowledge, your love, your effort—you do not become less. You begin to shine from within. A candle loses nothing by lighting another candle; it only makes the world brighter.
I humbly invite all my dear members of the Art of Giving family to live this theme in your daily life. You need not have much. Share a meal with someone, give your time to those who need care, help someone learn, or simply offer a kind word. Even a small effort, done with emotion, can bring real light into someone’s life.
Let us share, and let us shine.

Happy to welcome the delegation from the University of Washington Bothell to the KIIT & KISS campus as part of the IndiaTrek programme.
The programme has brought 2 faculty members and 8 students, who are spending time on our campus as part of a project-based, credit-bearing international mobility initiative. During their stay, they are engaging in institutional interactions, industry visits and collaborative activities, which help them understand India’s innovation ecosystem, business environment and different ways of learning.
Over the years, more than 1000 students and faculty members from different countries have visited KIIT & KISS under the IndiaTrek programme, and it is always good to see this continued engagement.
I wish them a meaningful and enriching stay at KIIT and KISS.
Forests are an important part of our life and nature. They give us clean air, water and a sense of balance. Many people depend on forests for their daily living.
We should take care of our forests and protect them with responsibility. My good wishes to everyone.

Odisha is no stranger to India’s tourism circuit.
From the timeless Konark & Jagannath Temples, to the sands of Puri Beach and the vastness of Chilika Lake.
But it seems that if you venture deeper into the state you discover landscapes that are every bit as spectacular.
Duduma Falls in Koraput district where the Machkund River plunges dramatically off a rocky cliff is one such marvel.
It’s a reminder that India’s beauty is inexhaustible. Just when you think you’ve seen it all… another wonder appears.

(Have to thank @manas_muduli for tirelessly promoting Odisha)
Happy to welcome a 40 member delegation from the Department of School Education, Ministry of Education and Skills Development, Royal Government of Bhutan, who are visiting the KIIT & KISS campus as part of the India Trek programme.
Over the years, many delegations of teachers and education leaders from Bhutan have visited our campus to understand the KISS model of education and empowerment for tribal children. It is always encouraging to see this continued exchange of ideas in the field of education and social development.
I warmly welcome them to KIIT & KISS and wish them a meaningful and enriching stay with us.
At KIIT, we have always believed that education goes beyond classrooms. It is about shaping confident individuals who can inspire society in every field. I am happy to share that the 61st Femina Miss India Grand Finale will be held at the KIIT campus in Bhubaneswar this April.
This association is meaningful for us because KIIT has always believed in women’s empowerment, and for the last 70 years Femina Miss India has stood exclusively for women, the participation of women and the empowerment of women. It has been my personal belief that when women move forward with confidence, society also moves forward. With nearly 50% girl students at KIIT and about 70% girls at KISS, we have always tried to create an environment where young women can learn, grow and lead with dignity.
Today, KIIT is signing an MoU for this partnership, and the MoU signing ceremony is going live at 3 PM from the Times of India office in Mumbai in the presence of Femina Miss India 2025 and many distinguished guests.
I invite all our students, staff, alumni and well-wishers of the KIIT, KISS and KIMS family to watch the live MoU signing ceremony through the link below.

Watching athletes from over 52 countries competing on the sand courts at @KIITUniversity gives me immense happiness. A sport usually played by the sea finding a home inside a university campus is truly special. My best wishes to all the participants. Grateful to FIVB for giving us this opportunity to host the FIVB Beach Pro Tour Challenge 2026. #BeachVolleyballAtKIIT
