one of the 10,000 bad things about nollywood, is the fact that the movies do not introduce you to new actors.

hollywood movies introduced us to actors like daniel radcliffe and emma watson through harry potter, jennifer lawrence through the hunger games, and margot robbie through the wolf of wall street.

nollywood only gives roles to already established actors and no new talent is introduced. i genuinely can’t remember the last time i watched a nollywood movie and thought, “who is this actor? they’re incredible.”
