@BristolCouncil Traffic gridlock cause huge delays at Brunel Way. No direction for those trying to get to the Airport. I missed my flight to a family funeral,a 20 min journey took 1hr 45mins & no other flight available, trip had to be abandoned! No traffic notices on the airport website?

Brunel Way closures,chaos at 7pm, gridlock traffic,re-directed back same route,no signage or re-direction for the airport, no notice @BristolAirport website, 20min journey took 1hr 45mins? ,resulting in a missed flights for a funeral. 🤬

@beardedjourno Another area with preferential treatment. Cotham has RPS and now the possibly a ‘pedestrianised shopping’, never mind the congested streets on the outskirts of RPZ where we can’t even walk on a pavement. I guess it’s not a priority for us plebs..

@BristolCouncil @WASP_BS7 @ASPRoadSafety Unfortunately unless the public report these parking violations then these drivers will continue to park on double yellows, it’s a daily/weekly occurrence. What we need is a regular traffic warden to patrol the area.

Elton Road Community in BS7 had a huge clean up to tackle the student recycling, litter, mountain of leaves and to give the street a good clear up. Great effort by everyone involved @BristolWaste can we get a road sweep to give it the final sparkle?

@AllianceWalking Bishopston, Horfield anywhere outside or bordering a RPZ, all these streets are used as a car park and pavements are often blocked or the access reduced.

@BristolWaste Hi, these bikes still haven’t been collected?….there is also a bike that’s been left locked to a lamp post on Purton Road for at least 3years!

Hi @BristolWaste These broken bikes on the corner of Glouc Rd & Elton Rd, should been collected on 29th Sept… any update as to why they haven’t been collected. This area is already a nightmare for litter dumping so it would be helpful if they could be cleared soon.

@carogucc @bristol_pip @BristolDon Area’s that were originally planned for an RPZ, all have the same issues due to the roll out being stopped by Marvin. The streets on the boarder get slightly more problems. @BOSAtpgroup presented all this to Marvin, but we’re now told quote ‘they’re not fit for purpose’ 🤷🏻‍♀️

@BristolDon I’m confused by your tweet Don?.🤔 Have you actually experienced the issues & challenges that traffic & poor parking management causes or have you experienced the benefits of an RPZ? I’ve both & I would be happy to show you around Bishopston & Redland to show the differences.

@CenterParcsUK yr website states ‘Tea & Coffee’ is available in the lodge, we got 4 tea bags! Guest services informed me that coffee &sugar has stopped, only coffee pods are provided..IF you have a coffee machine? (we don’t)..even a basis b&b offer a selection of beverages?

I tweet to raise awareness on the nightmare traffic, parking & other obstructions that plague Bishopston. Often your replies are dismissive rather than willing to engage to help, why?Responsible citizens do report but where DYL are concerned, where r traffic wardens?

Unless drivers are fined they will keep doing it! Bristol is the worse at traffic management & has complete lack of awareness for pedestrians needs. @MarvinJRees @BristolDon, who has priority here?

@bristol_pip We get van dweller, Buisness vans, untaxed vehicles, expired RPZ permit holders, commuters and any else who can’t have or doesn’t want to pay for a RPZ permit, it causes huge problems…we are the first street after RPZ left by Marvin who isn’t interested in grass roots issues.

@MarvinJRees @pete_mars_ @BristolWaste @BristolCouncil Hi @MarvinJRees this is a constant problem in and around Gloucester Road, I’ve already liaised with @BristolWaste and the enforcement team on a Sainsburys issues, but the retail bins, student mess is constant. What further action can be taken?
