Thrilled to be back @ASCP_Chicago Thank you for the warm welcome and wonderful learning environment.
@anueru432 Shu- great to see you, once again!! What a journey from residency applicants to residents in just a year. We made it 🙏
Residents who attended the TRIG Genomics 101 workshop to kick off the #ASCP2024 Annual Meeting in Chicago were introduced to introductory principles of genomic assays and interpretation of results in this small-group session.
Kicked off #ASCP24 in #Chicago with an early morning coffee downtown with my daughter—now a college student in the city where she once ran around as a toddler!!
It’s a special kind of pride, seeing her thrive in the place that shaped both of us. Feeling that unique blend of nostalgia and joy, realizing how quickly time flies but also how rewarding it is!!
All set for the @ASCP_Chicago Board Meeting! #StrongerTogether
@Tiger_heme@grzywacz_bartek@leon_metlay Wow, excellent case! This should definitely go into the literature. I've heard of PDGFRB-rearranged cases with B-ALL + myeloid counterparts and wonder how many cases of T/myeloid has been reported with PDGFRB-rearrangement!

Have you had a pediatric B-ALL with very mature features previously, that made you question whether you are dealing with a B-cell lymphoma instead? Below is a similar case:
Starting with CD38 expression: It is not as "dim" as you would expect it to be in B-ALL

Illustration of a rare case of intravascular large B-cell lymphoma with "anaplastic features", this variant is previously described, the cells are more pleomorphic than the typical large immunoblastic presentation
#dermpath , these cases go to you first typically & the neoplastic cells may be very sneaky, hiding in dermal vascular spaces
