Today is the anniversary of the death of Dr Thomas Addison, who first identified #AddisonsDisease whilst at @GSTTnhs around 1850. A dedicated researcher & diagnostician, who we remember & thank today.

@AddisonsUK I found it easier to listen to my body when I just had Addisons Disease. With multiple conditions it’s like lots of noise and it’s more difficult to work out what’s causing the problem
It was #Addison'sDisease day yesterday. I try not to be defined or have my life dictated by this rare illness but it is sometimes weirdly comforting to see the illustrious people who share it with you. Here's to all 8,400 of us in the UK. Stay safe! https://t.co/R5CsFQLrdo
It's #NationalNappingDay - well there's a day those with Addison's & adrenal insufficiency can relate to!
💤 Before diagnosis 94% of people report overwhelming exhaustion & we describe it as tired in a way no amount of sleep (or power nap!) will fix.

@DebW411 @MonicaSupportby I hate not knowing how long a flare will last. Some have been over 6 months and very depressing. Currently in a flare and trying to figure out what things I need to cancel. It’s so hard to put everything on hold. Family are kind but don’t really understand.
@DebW411 @MonicaSupportby I flare up when it’s cold too. I’ve never worked out what temperature it was. I will try to work it out so I’m more prepared.
