Congratulations to our 7th grade for winning the Brad Eby Classic‼️
8th grade lost a close first game, but battled back to win their second game.
Very proud of our players and coaches!
I used to get discouraged after practices that felt messy. I put so much value on drills that looked perfect in practice, then wondered why my teams couldn't score when it mattered in games. Adding messiness to practice helps prepare them for the messiness of games!
The myth of perfection in coaching is everywhere. We’ve been told “perfect practice makes perfect.”
But here’s the truth: chasing flawless reps might be the worst way to prepare players for the chaos of real games.
A thread🧵
It is ridiculous that JMU and Tulane are in the College Football Playoffs ... and Notre Dame and Texas and Vanderbilt are not. This shouldn't be about "everybody gets a chance." This should be about THE BEST 12 TEAMS IN AMERICA. Come on.
@EveryAngleSport @JEREnterprises@RomeovilleKid If you go for 2 right away and miss, you now know you need two scores. So you can plan out in advance how you're going to get those two scores to give yourself a chance to win. If you wait to go for 2 until the end of the game and miss, you now have no shot of winning.
@EveryAngleSport @JEREnterprises@RomeovilleKid The logic is that you HAVE to get a 2 pt conversion anyways. You go for 2 now so you have the knowledge of if you still need 1 or 2 scores for clock management purposes. If you wait to go for 2 until the end of the game, and you dont convert, you just lose.
