Sorry about that!
We are aware there are rumours flying around that we are closing.
WE ARE CERTAINLY NOT CLOSING.
Unfortunately, we had to end a couple of outreach sessions in March, but we still remain in 30 sites across Leeds, with NO plans to close any of them.

We are very fortunate to have a good working relationship with Leeds City Council's Council Tax team who communicate with us and all the members in @DebtLeeds regularly 👍
Our next meeting is on Thursday 14th March 2024 at 2:00pm on Teams. We will discuss scams and frauds, crypto currency, faith debt, update from DWP, impact on debt advisers/Intermediaries following the abolishing of the DRO fee from 6th April 2024 and much more...
DM for a link!
Money Buddies is facing their biggest funding cliff to date. Funding is so important to help us keep going so that we can continue to help vulnerable people. If you can help us, please like and repost our post. We thank you in advance ❤️

Very true. We are a small charity providing free advice services. Like the people we help, we also live hand to mouth. Long-term sustainable funding is needed to keep helping those who need us most.
One thing we are very good at is being adaptable. This is one of our strengths. Financial empowerment is so important these days. Otherwise, we all end up in a depression. Funding is needed, and it is needed now...
We have helped thousands out of poverty, deprivation, and isolation by providing free advice services to the public, with assisted help and thanks from @MartinSLewis
We will be sharing some of our impactful stats over the coming days, showing what we have done!
Get ready...
Since we got funding from @MartinSLewis and a couple of others, compared to the same period of time prior, we were able to:
- No. of people we helped increased by 226%
- Got £14,236,836.44 worth of debt managed, or written off!
- Maximised people's income by £17,538,481.25
Since we got some funding by @MartinSLewis the number of people we saw, compared to the same period beforehand increased by 346%
The amount of debt written off, increased by over 437%
Financial gains (i.e. benefits awarded) increased by 263%
This is why we do what we do!
'Mummy, I know we've no money, but does this mean that we can't be warm this weekend, or have any food'? What about Felix? 🐈
'Not on our watch little one, we will help your mummy and Felix 🐈 - no mousing today' ❤️
That moment when a person puts a bottle of pills on the desk in front of you and says 'I'm going to take all them, and kill myself, but I've been sent to you to see if you can help because I'm being evicted.'
Not on our watch! We saved the home and the client. All is well ❤️
