@i_am_in_mensa F is definitely worst choice for all expenses paid, I'd rather go somewhere expensive like monaco/switzerland and then bum it out in algiers on my own dime
think i'm finally "done" with blue prince.
legit had some incredible moments and then it just got more and more frustrating and tedious near the end instead of increasing difficulty. sad
i got fucking nothing of value so whats the point of making this its just like when anthropic says latest model is 67% better at swebench and then it cant generate meditations on moloch???
like what the fuck are you good for then?
@opinonhaver TRUMP: “We’re going to deport low skill foreign scammers working at a fake tech companies and exaggerating their degrees to game the visa system”
BEFF: “Ah, you’re doing a dog whistle for Indians because you want to deport brown people, very based I agree”
TRUMP:
blue prince is so cool i love this game but idk how i'd rate it
lowkey playing blue prince kinda sucks it's like a 7.5/10 where ur like "fuck you!"
but as soon as I close blue prince I want to reopen it cuz its actually so good its a 10/10 as soon as u close it
@Onvitaikayan i think you could get like a medium tower or something so it's a little more portable
gaming laptop is like turbo shit but if u want to game on like a tricked out macbook its probably okay
Red is unambiguously the "game theoretically correct" position, but it's actually encouraging that the majority still picks Blue, because it means that a majority of people are willing to take on meaningful personal risk to save their neighbor, which I think is beautiful
@AllSpacesFilled@mattforney@shooting6lasers well, no
i'm not a liberal who wants open borders at all (this might be important context)
but part of having an in-group is inherently voting ally first in the prisoner's dilemma! (i.e. not taking advantage of other people's generosity)
do you take free food from food banks?
@AllSpacesFilled@mattforney@shooting6lasers you do realize that thought experiments are metaphors? the trolley problem isn't literally about people tied to a train track
the prisoner's dilemma is a metaphor for abiding by the social contract even when it might be inconvenient (e.g. not playing music out loud on the bus)
we need to kill red button pressers irl and I don't mean twitter "vice signallers" but rather people like hasanabi who encourage violating the social contract and engaging in antisocial behaviour like stealing from whole foods out of petty ressentiment
The midwit/bell curve meme has become predatory. Most of us are midwits by definition. Midwits are, again, by definition the most productive group of people that maintain society.
The fact that they get humiliated left and right is because we've made the environment increasingly hostile to "normality". Unless you're a decamillionaire or some debased influencer clown, the amount of effort required to extract the basic rewards out of life has become disproportionate.
my personal opinion on this is incredibly negative. i would much much rather Anthropic have unilateral control in shaping the continued development of superintelligence than the US government, whether the current administration or any plausible democratically elected future one
