$SUI Update: Today a malicious actor attacked one of the ecosystem DEX's @CetusProtocol via a vulnerability they found in the Cetus Oracle code which has already been patched. (Fully documented and transparently by the teams)

A: Cetus is not @SuiNetwork it is an exchange that integrates with @SuiNetwork its important to separate blockchains and applications built to integrate with blockchains. They are not the same thing. Learn to differentiate between the blockchain (can be seen as the database) and the apps that use the blockchain (can be seen as apps that use a database).
B: The fast response from the @SuiNetwork Foundation team got a supermajority validator vote to freeze the wallets of the thieves. Note: This is how all proof of stake networks function. If a majority of validators vote to not allow transactions from an address they can do so via a governance vote. This was done fast and efficiently to protect the stolen funds from being moved off the network. This is a valuable feature of proof of stake governance perfectly used to protect funds in these events.
C: This incident is isolated to the @CetusProtocol exchange, bugs were fixed, no other ecosystem app or protocol is exposed.

Beware of FUDers that will try to use this to their advantage. Facts are important. Im very impressed by the @SuiNetwork and @CetusProtocol response. With growth comes increased attack vectors. How the Foundation and the ecosystem responds is what we look for and this was handled very well. Bullish for $SUI.
