While we were asleep, Elon Musk launched a flying car, the new Tesla Roadster!
It doesn’t have wings like an airplane or rotor blades like a helicopter. It uses thrust from high pressure compressed air thrusters (SpaceX tech), just like a rocket or spaceship, to take off and maneuver.
It goes from 0 to 60 mph (0–97 km/h) in about 0.8 seconds.
Elon said the top speed should exceed 0.5 Mach (half the speed of sound, roughly 380+ mph/over 600 km/h).
Production is set to start in 2028.
Tesla invited a live audience to the unveiling so people wouldn’t dismiss the stunts as AI. The car performed wild moves: driving upside down on a ramp (using a suction system), flipping and hovering in the air, jumping over other Teslas, and landing cleanly….
So much was happening behind the curtains at Migwena Cultural Grounds, in Bondo Siaya County during the Late Rt. Raila Amolo Odinga's Anniversary, that most of us never noticed.
FACTS on what transpired;
● Dr. Ida Odinga had given strict and express orders that every leader in this country was to be invited to the event. She individually sent invitations to a number of leaders in and outside Kenya.
● The state through William Ruto and his purported supporters objected, claiming that they were the organizers of the event and so they were the ones to make such decisions that were to be run by the president's protocol.
● Mama Ida told them Raila had many friends, and it would be unfair for any of them to be discriminated against from his first anniversary.
● Realizing that she had sent invitations. Ruto pulled out for fear of sharing a platform with the opposition leaders. This is when his supporters like Gladys Wanga, John Mbadi, Junet Mohammed, and many others in broad-based pulled out too.
● CS Energy Opiyo Wandayi being Mama Ida's relative and a close beneficiary of this relationship in his entire political career, he was spoilt of choices and had no option but to attend.
● Simba aRat saw the pulling out of other ODM leaders as an opportunity to shine and try to show mighty so that he places himself as the inheritor of Oburu's position in ODM. He hired quite a number of school buses to ferry thousands of people from Kisii, reason why most of the buses in Migwena were from Kisii County.
● The Raila Odinga immediate family would agree that in their speeches, they'd firmly stick with what Raila believed in and not what anyone wanted to hear. And so they did. We heard all his children speeches, Mama Ida and even sister Ruth Odinga.
● Mama Ida had also given instructions that the program was to be run by Otiende Amollo as the MP, and not Gladys Wanga as it was initially planned by the state. Then, it would later be handed over to James Orengo at an advanced stage, being the governor of the area.
● Ruto hurriedly made a decision to go and open the Raila Odinga Mausoleum on an earlier date and hand over to the family for him to abscond the oncoming Anniversary. For reasons explained above.
● Mama Ida had realized that most of the chief mourners of Raila at his death were not really the ones who were Raila's friends when he was alive. Guilty ran through her bloodstream and decided that she would make sure that Raila's friends wouldn't be denied an opportunity to mark his first anniversary.
● At the event, after Otiende had introduced the family and mentioned the names of the leaders present. Governor Orengo was to take over and run the program of inviting the political class, where priority was given to a few MPs, elders, and other leaders would follow.
● We would then suddenly see Simba aRat jump to the microphone immediately Otiende stepped away and started reading some foreign speech, which allegedly came from Oburu. The truth is that Oburu had sent Mama Ida and the children only to give his apologies and message.
● Arati would invite Opiyo Wandayi, who said nothing, and they bolted out together in a hurry, as Mama Ida gave instructions for Orengo to take up the microphone. Their walking out caused a little bit of chaos, and Orengo took over.
● In a mention of Babu Owino and Edwin Sifuna by Orengo, the crowds went rowdy forcing Arati, Wandayi, and other broad-based MPs like Passaris to run faster towards their cars as they exited at a high speed.
● Notably, no any other broad-based leader who had an opportunity to speak except Wandayi and aRat who forced their way and scampered into hiding immediately after as the event proceeded.
This explains everything that happened yesterday. We thank the Odinga's for standing for the TRUTH and giving Baba Raila Odinga's REAL friends at heart an opportunity to commemorate him during his first anniversary!
Asanteni na Mungu awabariki.
Today Sifuna still stands where Baba stood and says the same thing: you can take the man, but you will never take the ideas or the fight he carried. Some of us are ready to finish what he started.
Baba lives on.
