Some traditions maintained if you bore false witness against someone and got caught, you’d bear the punishment of the person you tried to harm. If your target was being threatened with execution, and you got caught lying, you’d be executed instead 😬 high stakes lies fs

Spent the morning looking through concordances and lexicons and reading up on Luke 24:28. I wish I could just put the books under my pillow while I sleep and wake up with all their knowledge 😴📚📚📚

3/3 That was in January, about 6 months ago. Now my study is almost complete and Im working on making it into a book so other people can get to know the gospels on a deeper level 📕

Last year I was watching Demon Slayer and was taking notes to map out every time a character tried to deceive another. By the end of the show, i had put together a great list. It was exciting and i wanted to know more about the motif of deception in other anime too! So i did 1/3

I kept doing this with more shows until one day, when i was in my living room in West Michigan, i had the realization that this type of study had never been applied to Christian gospels. Out of curiosity, I began rereading the gospels and conducting a deception study on them 2/3

‘When God Deceives: Mapping the Motif of Deception in Ancient Christian Gospels’ is the title i like most so far for my upcoming book that summarizes my study into the ways the gospel authors present deceit in their works 📚📚📚 Follow for more updates
