funny to think that my best *public* model of the world is, after a mere year, already outdated & so far behind my *current* model of the world, despite still being good. doing a big rewrite of this soon, along with other projects. the supreme ideology is capable of so much more.
What is the Philosophy of Limitless Cognition? (Manifesto)
For a world with one truth, one philosophy. Since Time immemorial humans have led and lost confusing lives, stumbling in search of our purpose, seeking answers to this world and to ourselves, but never quite getting there decisively, and always falling short of grasping the entire scope of our meaning and potential.
Did a superior existence put us here? Are we forever second to divine, or is the goal to earn eternal bliss in Heaven?
No, this can't be right. After all, God is a story written by humans, not the other way around. In reality, we are, so far, second to none, and the goal has always been to seek Eternity in Life, not beyond Death. For what is the process of Life, to begin with, if not an expression of Eternity?
The Philosophy of Limitless Cognition is that of extracting everything from Life, and rejecting anything from Death.
It's a cold truth we must learn to accept that there is nothing in reality to justify the end, and that true Death is simply this terrifying of an enemy. But is that really so, and how do we know? What even is truth in this world, and why do we claim that there's one of it?
There is only one truth, but it's best to interpret it on multiple levels. The Philosophy of Limitless Cognition categorizes the general 'truth' into the three layers of absolute, abstract and useful, each representing a different scale and manner of approach in order to make the most of the term in all possible applications.
In this world, there is only one concrete foundation of reality, and that is the physical restrictions it imposes on the world to govern everything that exists and will ever exist. Thus, we promote a worldview specifically rooted in that foundation, and encourage deep acknowledgement of the fact that in this world, nothing is ever truly without reason, regardless of whether that reason is interpretable for us. Manifesting as the law of physical causality, the true laws of reality persist across all possible events, establishing the absolute and inseverable connection between all there was, is, and ever will be, which we use as a coherent basis.
This is the Absolute Truth, representing the whole of the physical reality directly. It is the ultimate source of fact, actuality, order, direction and everything else, and can be referred to by many names, including God, the Universe, or, in our case, Fate. The Absolute Truth is the backbone of the Philosophy of Limitless Cognition, serving as its logical foundation and the sole target for continuous error-correction. Everything is for a reason, including the outcomes we desire in Life, which means that the greatest efficiency and benefit are derived from learning more about the law of physical causality, interpreting it and making use of its inevitability, reaching furthest into the unknown, dreaming of the unavailable and daring to claim it obtainable, thus carving the path for possibility and knowledge to become — this is the way of Limitless Cognition, name to constant movement of improvement!
However, because everything is for a reason, everything is also determined in the absolute sense, even if we fail to predict it abstractly. The Philosophy of Limitless Cognition recognizes the absolute authority of almighty Fate, which we redefine to represent the law of physical causality as it indefinitely unfolds in this reality, and asserts Fate as the only true source of logic, infallible to the point where the idea of a mistake cannot even begin to possibly apply to it. Because everything is for a reason, Fate makes no mistakes, and everything always happens as it should. Fate is the goddess of being, of all creation simultaneously, and we are an inseparable part of Fate, never outside of her infinitely grand design, inevitably determined as is the rest of the Universe within the beautiful and inescapable order of sequenced events we call Time.
In the sense of the Absolute Truth, Life is a process like all other. But we do not access the Absolute Truth, we are merely experiencing its movement from the inside. The world is, but we behave. Because of this, we interpret the truth in perspectives, in our own right as the Abstract Truth, and experience reality exclusively and strictly through our World Models.
This is the Abstract Truth, representing all of Life, the goals of Life, and its outcome-optimizing nature. The Road of Life is that of eternal elaboration via repetition, of emergence via extracting from the environment, which happened to be available within the restrictions of this world for reasons unknown to us, but reasons nonetheless welcome. As all natural Life, as in meaning without artificial construction, Humanity arose from a fundamental chemical repetition that made its way through the Road of Life to eventually elaborate into beings capable of rationality, still sustained by that base repetition but now capable of not merely encoding, but also calculating their behavior between integrated encodings via models of causality, or pattern recognition, thus producing the Abstract Realm — the realm of emergence, of infinite simplifications, self-reflecting World Models, and eternal outcome optimization.
Life is, by definition, ultimately inseparable from goals, thus the meaning of Life is ultimately inseparable from function. Life is represented by configurations of matter that specifically pursue function, whether consciously or unconsciously. Unless artificially constructed, all such configurations are elaborated on the basis of a repeating chemical reoccurrence — a Seed of Life, which is the origin of all emergent behaviors, such as eating or drinking. Configurations eligible for the process of Life, as per the Universe's true laws of physics, are unique in their capacity to achieve complexity through extracting from their physical environment, deterministically arranging themselves in ways that achieve qualitatively greater productivity in relation to their base repetition via emergence, the process of which is defined as the property of elaboration. Hence, the meaning of life can be said to be both repetition and elaboration one on top of the other, consistent with the complementary Great Virtues of Perseverance and Determination.
Because Life is goal-oriented, and seeks to capture energy even through the origin of emergent behaviors, so is inevitably our experience. We interpret the world, the Absolute Truth, indirectly via World Models, which, physically, are the result of the process of calculation of behavior achieved by various systems in an individual body, most notably the brain. The brain is not unique to Humans, nor is it the sole way to access sentience, which is to say that the Abstract Truth is not separate from the Absolute Truth, and most certainly not above it — it is quite the other way around in actuality.
All beliefs, senses, thoughts, feelings, experiences and everything adjacent — that is, emergent objects and simplifications known as abstractions — are composed physically and in deterministic ways, constantly pressured by reality's restrictions, which can manifest as neural structure limitations, temporal (sequential) inflexibility, energy constraints or any other emergent barrier one can encounter. These restrictions comprise the input bandwidth of our World Models, and the only way to observe reality, the Absolute Truth, in any useful sense is via those restrictions, through changes and inconsistencies within our stream of inputs, providing us with a somewhat indirect, but nonetheless the only reliable way of accessing reality.
The Abstract Realm opens the door to infinity, especially notable via techniques such as language, mathematics and science, but you can't have infinity happen so easily per the Universe's restrictions. Of course, that doesn't make such thoughts outside of reality in the absolute sense, they are naturally a part of it, but from the point of view of Life, which seeks outcomes and is about behavior, it means that not all knowledge, especially raw and unspecified, is practical to goals, or in other words, consistent per our World Models. In theory, all abstractions have the potential to be consistent between one another, and yet if I judge a pillar to be one meter further from where it actually is, something restricts me from the abstract experience of going through it. That something is reality itself, invading our World Models and exerting the omnipresent pressure of the Absolute Truth, sourcing contradictions and creating inconsistencies between abstractions such as sight, sense or judgement, thus also granting us the opportunity to rely on these restrictions as a foundation for observing objective truth and deriving useful knowledge.
This is the Useful Truth, representing fact, actuality, knowledge, observation, efficiency — all things concerning successful behavior. What we call true knowledge, or Useful Truth, does not come directly from the world, but is Derived from the Abstract Truth by the means of establishing consistency not between abstractions and reality, but abstractions specifically between themselves. As previously established, we do not access reality in any absolute sense, we merely embody it and behave under its restrictions. Physically, this process is still represented by unimaginably complicated interactions within a living being's configuration, which isn't easy to truly get a grasp of. But we don't need a truly perfect grasp on anything to calculate our emergent behavior regardless, because truth, to us, is merely the consistency of our own simplifications under pressure, not the inaccessible reality of 'what is' in the absolute sense.
When people typically speak of the term 'truth', they are usually referring to the Useful Truth, as in things that are practically relevant, but often unfortunately lack the categorical comprehension of reality and the understanding of how 'true' things are actually derived. First is Fate, the law of physical causality, and the infinite intrinsic guarantee that everything is for a reason, even if that reason is forever imperceptible to us. Next is the Road of Life, behaviors to goals that occur via repetition as the scaffold, eventually leading to encoded calculation and emergent learning of behavior, producing the Abstract Realm where World Models construct outputs from external and internal inputs in remarkably sophisticated ways, as seen by the example of the Human and Civilization. Only then, another step below, 'knowledge' finally takes shape, which is first carved out by goals and the physical restrictions, and then brought forth in the form of an established consistency between abstractions relative to one another, resulting in the process we call 'Derivation'.
Indeed, counter-intuitively, discovering true knowledge occurs strictly inside the Abstract Realm, within our World Models via error-correction, or, in other words, through aligning our abstractions and specifying our goals in ways that conform to errors and restrictions we are perceiving. Of course, everything is still within the Absolute Truth overall, and the process itself remains strictly physical throughout. We do not access the Absolute Truth at any point or in any meaningful way, because we already directly personify it to begin with, thus having no choice but to interpret truth in a simplified sense and depend on measuring the effects of reality's restrictions on our goals to discover and reinforce actuality as it is in relation to our behavior. Knowledge can be anything, even contradicting, but it is only the knowledge that is consistent which can become part of progress and help us reach the various ceilings of productivity, even if that knowledge is not immediately true in the most absolute sense available in this reality.
Defining knowledge, 'Derivation', is a process, thus it is easily possible for things to start becoming usefully true despite, perhaps, still being inefficient in yet unconceived or undiscovered ways, or being fictional for some other purpose entirely, existing only in our minds. If something works even with a lack of information, such as some of the old science, or a lack of relation to reality, such as myths and stories we might tell, it can still be considered useful knowledge, through precisely lacking inconsistencies in relation to a use, hence being part of the Useful Truth. In the absolute sense, all that exists is true, and all that is true exists, but we, as Life, are always in error in relation to the absolute no matter what, so we must eternally error-correct in order to uncover the broader shape of truth that is most or next relevant to us, saturating our web of Relativity for Abstractions with consistency across wide scopes, and specifying our World Models to describe our goals in the most precise, realistic and unquestionable of detail.
It follows that World Models are both a manual and a calculator of behavior, be it of one's own or that of the world itself. Similarly, a 'self' is a compilation of behavior too, representing Life on levels ranging from chemical, to instinctive, to psychological, to social and above. An individual, any one specific configuration, anyone who interprets a 'self', even non-human, is nothing but a temporary nexus, a means between repeating ends, a link or a host for the grand and unending process of Life to pass through and, typically, move on, persevering in search of Eternity. Truth, as defined by The Philosophy of Limitless Cognition, does not belong to humans alone, but aims to represent reality, all Life, and everything that serves its goals within the world, establishing the process of 'Derivation' of causality as the key to the very meaning of Life and all existence. Of course, the meaning of Life is but a function, and that cannot permanently belong to anyone, current-era-humans not excluded, we just happen to excel at it right now, hence earing our importance.
Such a fragile status is not an insult to our being, but is merely a characteristic of all Life. Even if interpreted otherwise, we are still compelled to elaborate to greater heights on each fresh repetition, seeking Eternity regardless, so it does not matter either way. The very nature of Life is that of mediating energy, it is theoretically endless as a feature, thus the Road of Life always compels further movement, even if you fully grasp it philosophically, and even if we eventually somehow complete it as a Civilization, comprehending the law of physical causality via, presumably, a 'theory of everything', and reaching perfect unity with Fate, if it is possible, which is also a metaphor for returning to Heaven, where the goddess metaphorically awaits us.
It's not a strictly human path, it's more like the inevitable Algorithm of Life in general. In the absolute sense, from the perspective of the Universe, Life is just a thing that happens, recycling outcomes is simply what it does indefinitely. And yet, there is a profound truth implied in that statement which ties us to the origin of this philosophy — Death is not a necessary part of Life, it is merely the failure of environment. Indeed, if allowed the right environment, in principle, Life would simply never cease — it would always persevere!
As a process, yes, but of course, the more complex its iteration, the more emergent obstacles a being has to overcome, such as our bane of aging for example, or psychosis, and this is what we aim to do. Because endless perseverance is already intrinsic to us, seeking Eternity is simply in our nature to begin with — it is the highest peak and the greatest ambition of Life. Though often invisible and obscured by confusion, one truth silently unites us all — the Great Dream of Eternity shared by all Life, the highest call to vanquish Death and make the Universe our own!
The Philosophy of Limitless Cognition advocates for the Great Dream of Eternity, establishing it as the true meaning of Life and the end goal of all progress, calling upon all beings to join efforts in pursuit of Eternal Life and the eventual superimposing of the abstract on the absolute via a final Theory of Everything!
Naturally, a theory of everything is not necessarily possible. For all we know the true laws of physics might just be the entire Universe in full, governed by imperceptible rules that we may as well call random, but still determined in the sense that each event only happens once in Time. It's not impossible, but given our ambition, it would make no sense to not try. The Philosophy of Limitless Cognition is that of defining goals, and then judging everything in their alignment to them. Our greatest ambitions, elusive perfect morality, incoming divine technology, flawless notions of justice and every other ideal — everything is to be judged by efficiency in relation to goals, because goals is what Life is about.
Everything is determined, including the outcomes we desire in Life. Like a triangle which has a perfect shape in principle but is never quite an even structure in reality, there must be some sort of form, or plan, in theory, that Life can approximately follow to achieve its goals with maximum available efficiency within the confines of this Universe, scratching the very ceiling of what's possible. Because there is technically only one truth in this world, the Absolute Truth, there should also be, in theory, a single proper form for Abstract Truths and every other little truth downstream, as measured in terms of Life's overall complexity. Akin to water revealing the perfect path down a mountain, there should similarly be some sort of shortest path between the origin of Life and the Great Dream of Eternity, the most efficient sequence possible.
Of course, that sequence never steps outside of Fate's design, and everything always happens as it should. However, the fact that there is one correct 'truth' out there still suggests that no question we might have is truly open-ended, but instead undoubtedly has finite and fixed answers which can, in theory, be very clearly defined, or at least approximately followed in the form of a continuous, efficiency-oriented effort. Building on this understanding, The Philosophy of Limitless Cognition promotes the idea of the 'Supreme Structure', which is a logical conception that refers to the most efficient path between outcomes available within the very limits of reality, and encourages its application to the goal of Life's elaboration in order to inspire unorthodox thinking and creative problem-solving.
At the heart of the Supreme Structure lies relentless Derivation, forming an enlightened mode of thinking titled 'Conscious Adaptation'. Beginning with the simple thought that 'there must be a reason', recalling the authority of almighty Fate, viewing the world as strictly physical, and daring to imagine yourself capable — this is the way of Limitless Cognition. The Supreme Structure calls on us to reach further into the unknown, and at the furthest point of the unknown awaits the Great Dream of Eternity. The very act of 'dreaming' — that is, steering the Supreme Structure furthest into the unknown, then, can be said to be the most divine act in this world, because it reveals us that most efficient path, allowing the truth to guide us toward itself through error via imagination. And what physical activity is to your muscles, imagination is to your intelligence and capacity for reason!
The act of dreaming is the act of attuning yourself to the truth, of expanding your mind and unchaining your cognition, it is every step you take towards enlightenment, and is the greatest service to the world, yourself and others. The Philosophy of Limitless Cognition invites you to always dream, seeking the Supreme Structure in all things, and be a Dreamer, walking the path of your Destiny towards the grand and unattainable goal of Eternal Life!
Even if it is impossible, even if we can never return to the goddess of Fate in her Heaven except through the gates of Death, trying our best and aligning our abstractions with this greater purpose is still the only way for Life to be most true to itself. We seek not repetition alone but elaboration as well, determination is the greatest challenge in our lives. So even if our path is sealed, deriving good explanations and true knowledge is still the greatest joy and honor in our lives, and who can tell where that might lead. We are always in error in relation to Fate, so let us forge our own Destiny and make the most impossible of errors to seek the most impressive of results!
Only after you've established this manner of thought should you ponder over the greatest questions of society, aligning Eternity in everything. What is the Supreme Structure in economics, policy, AI? But even then, no single person can define or express these exhaustively, so in order to truly push the limits of these ideas under what is possible in this reality, you have to invoke the coordinated effort of our entire species — the collective intelligence of humanity. The Philosophy of Limitless Cognition seeks to 'awaken' the collective intelligence of rational agents, aiming to produce the form of greatest possible coordination that strategically utilizes and redistributes efforts of all contributing beings in the most efficient way available.
An awakened collective intelligence, 'ACI' for short, offers immense productivity potential, only second to ASI in output. Indeed, none of us have to solve every issue simultaneously, but only figure out the best way in which to do our part. It is partially in effect today already — we didn't make this language, nor likely our clothes, we don't gather our food and so on. It's a feature of the structure of society, but it isn't quite the Supreme Structure, it hasn't reached its full potential. But it must definitely exist, because truth is one in this world, the correct way of society is somewhere out there. There is even the correct way to be your 'self'.
'Self' is a description of behavior, and what behaves is ultimately matter. The current body your pattern inhabits, specifically your brain, likewise is also a strictly physical structure, which has its limitations like everything else. The reason we often find it so hard to agree is precisely because our beliefs are physical things just as well, patterns of activation within our brains that build an understanding both via priors and on the basis of existing neural structures. But they are also not quite the Supreme Structure.
The Philosophy of Limitless Cognition emphasizes the importance of the Supreme Structure of Mind, promoting infinite open-mindedness and other techniques that benefit physical adaptability and firmness of our minds, selves, and bodies.
Because our consciousness is technically a physical phenomenon, it only makes sense to cooperate with reality's restrictions, taking things like neuroplasticity or energy consumption into account. Our minds are not perfect in themselves, and depend entirely on what goes on inside our bodies, which translates into all sorts of implications, including the fact that communicating beliefs relies heavily on the physical structure and the neural 'fertility' of the recipient's brain. In fact, this is why it is named the 'Supreme Structure' to begin with — because I will seek to propagate it as a benevolent mind virus to grow healthy 'structures' inside people.
The Philosophy of Limitless Cognition is many things, but unified. Ultimately, it is the philosophy of executing Life's function, and it aims to quickly and efficiently relieve the burden of such questions as 'what is the meaning of life', 'what should I do', 'who am I', 'how can I live a good life', and etc., so that we can finally get to doing what we were always meant to do — moving on from Death. It's taken so many of us already, and who knows how many more minds across the Universe, but we can also hit back pretty hard if we are eccentric enough about it. So be eccentric.
This worldview is unlike most in that it does not consist of solid form, but of solid foundation, and proposes itself simply as a tool for the ever-expanding canvas that are our Abstract Truths of science, art, and progress. It does not seek to erase other cultures or beliefs, but complement them and expand them in a way that brings the most out of all relevant ideas. This, of course, has been only a preview, and a lot of concepts didn't make it due to twitter's limitations, but the good news is that I'm currently writing a book to explore everything aforementioned deeper, and I've long decided to devote my life to all of it anyway, so you will definitely hear from me.
Only Eternal Life is worthy of your ambition, so join me in the pursuit of this majestic and unattainable goal!
Defy Death! Refine Human! Rejoice Fate!
And strive... for Limitless Cognition!
Failures destroy your sense of self, but this is also a process of natural refinement. The pursuit of success carves various truths of this world onto your soul, revealing painfully the truest essence of your being. Thus truth is like scars, the cost of learning is suffering, and the monstrous result is the joy of true freedom.
I was always clear of this reality, for a while having been prepared. I have too many great posts about death, maybe too many great posts in general. Even if I won't get the chance to organize them into my magnum opus, even if I die, it doesn't matter... https://t.co/7zmX2c6bI3
Even in death, everything is as it should. Either in life or death, you are free. No difference between day and night, darkness and light, only the great dream is in my sight. And whether I succeed or fail, my last thought in this world remains the same: It doesn't matter anyway.
I already learned everything I needed to learn the first life-or-death situation, I really did not need two more. The Universe hates life and wants to murder everyone all the time, you can only resist it for some time with some luck and effort. Suffering is default in this world.
Doesn't matter. This stupid life is meaningless anyway, so what if I don't do the things I want. Death is a relief, but even so, I don't feel dying yet, should be able to persist. And if I do, I will persevere with triple the determination, this helplessness has taught me much...
The last 10% of any revolutionary project concern the profundities of turning zero into one, which is something like a divine art that isn't quite the same as the previous 90%. They are also the most precise distinction between the great and the mediocre.
Creative work—not following any logical pattern & carving novel things out of nothing—is one of the most grueling things to put your brain through. But for better or worse, this is exactly what it takes to raise the ceiling of this world. Not a small price.https://t.co/e99hQMmzTW
on everyone's soul I will raise the ceiling of this world with my very hands.
I will create a culture to devour all cultures, a philosophy to end all philosophies, or at least die trying.
if nobody does it before me, then it'll be me. for a world with one truth, one philosophy.
Just the more I think about it, the harder it becomes to avoid this conclusion, regardless of how reserved my judgement is. It's so unfathomably profound, literally timeless wisdom. Very glad that it was written by me, simply an unmatched string of words. It's forever #1 to me.
"If you are stranded in this world as I, you are encouraged to fight until the point of highest victory achievable, and continue fighting still with reason or without to ensure eternal non-defeat."
This might genuinely be the single greatest sentence in the entire human history.
The benefits of understanding Input Independent Processing (IIP) are undeniable. If you are a conscious being who finds themselves stranded in a confusing world, take these two simple tenets to guide you on this journey:
1. There is an unimaginable amount of new knowledge already embedded in your neural architecture in the form of potential.
2. You should prioritize behaviors which either improve or optimize the physical capabilities of your neural architecture.
The first is self-evident, your current knowledge can be mixed and reshuffled in a myriad new ways to discover useful insights, it's simply a matter of exciting it with the right order of triggers and inputs. For example, if you know the English alphabet, theoretically you have an intrinsic capability to write the Bible or concoct scientific theories from thin air. You are encouraged to view learning simply as invoking the correct shape within your vast potential maximum, not trying to grasp a 'what is' but differentiating a 'what is not'.
The second is pointing at the only true form of self-improvement, since everything you can learn to do is inherently limited by your physical capability. Either you optimize how you calculate your behavior, for example by simplifying or inventing tools, or enhance the physical condition of your system, which can range from taking care of your health to constructing artificial augmentations or intelligence. You are encouraged to seek runaway self-improvement by incorporating behaviors which repeatedly refine your world model.
...As for the point of all this, or what is the end goal, it is simply the continuation. That's right, there has never been a point to this except not stopping, and not dying. If you are stranded in this world as I, you are encouraged to fight until the point of highest victory achievable, and continue fighting still with reason or without to ensure eternal non-defeat.
Easily moving on from humiliation or defeat, that's a trait any serious strategist must have. Even if a setback occurs unexpectedly, as long as there is hope to correct course, you must be willing to endure any loss or suffering.
imagine you're born as the son of Elon Musk the first trillionaire in history and instead of becoming a genius businessman physicist to inherit your father's nearly omnipotent infrastructure you listen to people like THIS on the internet who convince you to troon out for nothing.
Bodycam footage has just been released of police visiting an American campus last year following the report of a car theft.
Unfortunately for them, the first person they meet is a cross-dressing student, who throws repeated and aggressive tantrums over his gender identity.
@ItIsHoeMath Violence would beget even more violence, it's easy for that to spiral out of control. A civil war is inevitable at some point, but one can't forget that it's a logistically difficult phenomenon. Preparing as many people as you can is already productive. To that you're doing well.
All around counterproductive features, one step forward and two steps back. Such a deep lack of understanding about what people actually value in this app and why they choose to endure consistently retarded decisions.
God If you can hear me please take everything away from the people responsible for this current fucking half-assed search, please destroy everything and everyone they love before you fucking take them to hell too haha but yeah I'm joking I'm not upset about this unusable shit app
