@VibewireCentral Predictive maintenance is a transformative operational strategy in aviation, but its impact is most acutely felt in long-haul flight operations. A unscheduled maintenance event on a long-haul route can be costly, as alluded to in the @AviaPro_ post below.

WATCH: United Airlines flight UA102, a Boeing 777-224ER, suffered compressor stalls in the no.2 engine during departure from Houston last Friday.
The engine was shut down and the crew returned to Houston for a safe landing about 50 minutes later.
After 30 years of heavy lifting, #BelugaST 4 is heading to her new home at @aero_scopia, in France, joining Concorde and the A380. 🐋
Beluga fans, don’t worry: these Gentle Giants will still fill the skies: since 2014, the larger #BelugaXL fleet has been carrying Airbus aircraft parts across Europe, supporting our production ramp-up. ✈️

An Airbus A380 climbing through the
clouds and leaving behind spectacular wingtip vortices. These swirling trails are created by pressure differences between the upper and lower surfaces of the wing and become visible when moisture in the air condenses.

Remembering a classic and the story behind it
"In 2007, at the Portugal Airshow, a TAP Airbus A310 performed the aeronautical equivalent of scoring a bicycle kick in football. You could almost see and hear all the alarms in that cockpit lighting up and beeping. At the time, the maneuvers caused quite a stir.
António Monteiro, TAP's spokesperson, explained that the A310 was nearing the end of its career with the company and, therefore, they decided to give it this farewell.
"Normally, TAP doesn't perform aerobatics with its aircraft at air shows. But since we're replacing the first one in October, it was a way for the pilots to pay tribute to it," he explained, insisting that the safety of the operation was never compromised. The pilot in charge was the head of the fleet of these aircraft, and the two crew members each had 4,000 flight hours on the A310 alone"

@Av_Security Aviation has historically relied on a deep bench of veteran pilots, mechanics, and controllers. The mass retirements and career pivots during 2020–2022 created a skills gap that cannot be filled by rapid hiring alone, as stated in the @AviaPro_ post below.
