@ajamesbragg Dear Senator @ajamesbragg the CGT “discount” is a tax break which, with negative gearing on not one or two but multiple houses, has made property investors a distorting dominance in the market. The fact that you don’t acknowledge this is revealing.
I grew up reading Stay in Touch; it was one of the first things that taught me to love newspapers. Still have collections of those wonderful columns at home. Sad to hear this.
@antsharwood It is getting very disturbing. Would to think recent data are outliers, the trend is very obvious. The ponds in Komagane in Nagano, were made specifically for ice skating. No one has been able to skate on them for decades, and now even in mid-winter, they just don't freeze over.

@winsordobbin@AFL Tasmania doesn't need a new stadium. A modest refurbishment of Bellerive would be feasible and more than sufficiently "waterfront". The Socceroos and Matildas won't play there anyway.
When the home team gets thrashed in London by Sri Lanka by 8 wickets, with a day to spare, it makes me wonder when this #Bazball nonsense will finally be consigned to the bin. Test cricket is not beach #cricket. #ENGvSL
