i'd like to remind declarative_ readers that when i argue leftist points with insane emotional investment, i'm not at risk of economic hardship myself and am really just doing it out of love for the game (some might say "conviction")
@toasterlighting@witchof0x20 there's a stronger case against them (you now have n weird specialized linux installs to maintain instead of managing your applications with host tooling)
@ShadowyZephyr to me "wiki" means a collaboratively edited website without mentioning if the content is opinionated or not. (the wikipedia article "wiki" agrees). i don't think it's disingenuous (especially because the writing is clearly opinionated and not in an encyclopedic but slanted style)
@ShadowyZephyr they explicitly disclaim being an encyclopedia and call themselves a "community for [...] opinion formation" that just uses wiki software. i think snooty reddit atheists with cultural politics were ultimately ok people who are overhated
"nothing you do can change your genes" expresses such a profoundly stupid belief. should i just start smoking because my death date is programmed in genetically? should i stop avoiding cars when crossing the road?
@ShadowyZephyr why not? it's a good and extensive resource on alt-right, TERF and other nutty beliefs and the snarky POV is fun to read (tbh mostly if you agree)
it's probably just gonna be a late teenage angst screed about aging like anything else, but i'd rather have written something than nothing when i have an idea
@ShadowyZephyr that's the problem. let's just say that taylor swift is 180cm (5'11") and already sings about how she feels that "everybody is a sexy baby and [she's] a monster on the hill", so you can imagine how i'm feeling about it
