@shagbark_hick I love reading Keturah's posts, and yours as well. I have always thought of twitter as a place to find the most interesting and unique perspectives. Seeing the hate you two get is what made me realize not everyone uses it that way. You have a beautiful family by the way!
@WifeMamaHome@LJGodbold@oliveegger Iโve noticed this about black fabric with other things, it can feel sturdier and thicker than the same exact garment in a different color
@handmadeshoesia my mother in law makes a sour cream apple pie that is very good. i was very skeptical of it before i tried it. now i'm curious about this raisin pie
@daught3rz1on i think this is beautiful, parents should be benevolent dictators, not just straight up tyrants. also homemade hamburger helper is soooo good.
@KeturahAbigail yes! I really feel for your husband's grandma, it is heartbreaking. I feel like you can't properly meet or know a baby without holding it. i wonder what it would take to reverse this trend. i don't think people realize the trade-off they're making.
@oafcoded idk if you need tips, but Joyful Toddlers and Preschoolers by Faith Collins is a book that helped me tremendously with getting my toddler to be more obedient (in a fun and loving way).
@daught3rz1on We met living in the same apartment building. Him and his roommates got a puppy and my roommate was really into animals so we all started hanging out.
@Libraryoftessa My husband has a really hard time leaving the kids alone when theyโre upset. I think it can be harder for the man to accept it. I will pray for you guys! It is so hard now but there is better sleep in your future.
@Libraryoftessa I would leave him in a safe room alone or otherwise ignore home for a little while, as terrible as it seems, sometimes they just need a break and then when you come back to rock him or whatever it feels like relief to have you back instead of a fight he doesnโt want to give up.
@Libraryoftessa Man that sounds so hard! Iโm sorry and I really hope it gets better soon. If I was in that situation I would probably give up on the rocking way before 3 hours. I think it becomes an endless fight they donโt want to give up on when itโs like that.
@Libraryoftessa Youโre welcome! It was really hard but very worth it. We went from hourly waking to sleeping through the night. He is still co sleeping tho at 3. I have no advice for moving him to his own bed.
@Libraryoftessa Yeah, basically cry it out but while cosleeping. I think he had learned to walk like a month earlier. I donโt remember if that was a big issue. I imagine I just kept on laying him back down til he gave up. We have a floor bed so that might have helped.
@Libraryoftessa So anyway Iโm pretty sure I nursed to sleep, but then every time he woke up I would rub his back and sing songs or say nursery rhymes and there was a lot of screaming and crying and little sleep, but it lasted 3 terrible nights and then it was over. You just canโt ever give in.
@Libraryoftessa I night weened my son at 13 months. Reading online made it seem like you could either do cry it out in their own room or co-sleep and nurse on demand forever with no in between. But he was nursing every hour and we didnโt have another bedroom and I needed it to end somehow.
