Socialists are using Islamists as a grievance bloc.
Islamists are using socialists to seize political power.
Each thinks the other is the useful idiot.
Pray that Christians will find the courage to oppose both Marxist revolution and Islamic conquest.
Covering revelation 1:7-8 tonight at church.
The Lord God, Almighty, who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Alpha and Omega, is faithful to judge evil and redeem His children.
God uses judgment to further righteousness.
My soul yearns for you in the night; my spirit within me earnestly seeks you. For when your judgments are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world learn righteousness. -Isaiah 26:9
The problem with pastors or theologians telling us that all the sum of our fatherly duty is to point our kids to Christ, is that we have eyes. If the pastor says this and is obese, why should I believe him? He doesn’t practice what he supposedly preaches and believes. Is he not supposed to steward his own body as a temple of the Holy Spirit? Is he not to discipline his own appetites which have mastered him? Why doesn’t he make war with his flesh, which is flabby and weak while lecturing others how they must live?
Of course we should point our kids to Christ. But this isn’t the sum of all we should do nor the totality of what it means to be “masculine.” Men out to be first be pursuers of God. Flowing naturally from the pursuit to love God and follow Him are the other duties, which are to then be protectors and providers. Our pursuit of God should include our discipleship of our children and leadership in family worship. Yes, and amen! But if your pursuit doesn’t naturally then take up the duties of protection and provision, the man has is deficient in his theology (at best) or negligent (at worst).
The pastor who waxes eloquently but can’t run a mile or benches less than Mamdani will be less effective at reaching young men who view these polished pastors and theologians as essentially, out of shape, walking contradictions. A man must fervently love God, ferociously protect his family (and prepare for the day of testing!) and faithfully provide for them.

The very qualities that we champion in the heroes of our faith are so often despised when emulated by our contemporaries. My latest on Substack.
