We need institutions to work in this country. We can't continue living in a country where for anything to work, the President must 'order' (mostly to score political points)...
Harambee stars walipewa, police wakapewa, now teachers. All by roadside declarations. Question is, what is this affordable housing BS about? Because it definitely isn't about housing for the poor and getting rid of slums. Maliza uende haki. Unachosha
Actually need Nairobi governor aspirants to start talking about how they’re going to fix this mess. Sakaja checked out. He knows he’s not coming back. Msee probably anajisort tu.
The Stanchart Social Media guy/lady typing that “Happy Customer Service Week from us to you” text knowing well that the system will be down over the weekend.
I was shot 3 times in the back outside Parliament on June 25, 2024. I was among those shot that day and I was the only one who survived. My name was even listed among those who had died. The media did not expect me to make it.
We went out together, my friends never came back. I carry them with me every day. May they rest in peace. 🙏
Over 2 years later I have refused to give up. I have lived through a severe spinal cord injury, chronic pain, sepsis, bladder stones and countless hospital admissions.
I am now asking for help with the costs that come with my recovery; Physiotherapy, medication, follow-up appointments and other medical expenses.
My biggest goal is to keep working on my recovery and regain my independence.

From visibility to understanding. 🌍
I had the privilege of chairing the 22nd @AFRAC_Official Marketing & Communication Committee Meeting during the 17th AFRAC General Assembly & Meetings in Gaborone, Botswana.
It was encouraging to reflect on a productive year in which the MCC achieved 86% of its planned 2026 outputs, strengthening AFRAC's visibility, communication capacity and engagement across continental and global platforms.
But the more important conversation was about what comes next: strengthening our corporate identity and digital platforms, increasing member amplification, engaging major African trade platforms, and connecting accreditation more clearly with trade, industry and the people it ultimately serves.
I remain convinced that communication should not merely make accreditation visible; it should make accreditation understood.
Grateful to my fellow MCC members for their commitment and to SADCAS for hosting us.

Accidentally taught my nephew the wrong name for seagulls when he was four and didn't realize until his teacher called my sister to ask why he kept insisting they were called "beach chickens" during their unit on coastal wildlife. Apparently he got into a full argument with another kid about it and refused to back down because "my uncle works with animals" (I'm a veterinarian, which technically made it worse). My sister made me call him and admit I'd been wrong. He's nine now and still brings it up at family dinners. Last Thanksgiving he introduced me to his friend as "the uncle who doesn't know what birds are called." I deserve this.
The scariest deadline in life isn't turning thirty or forty.
It's going home for the holidays and noticing your parents walk just a little slower each year, while you are still trying to get your life together.
There's a small window in life when your parents are healthy, your children are little, and everyone is happy and together. It feels like it will last forever, it won’t. Cherish every moment of it.
In the book, Animal Farm, Napoleon & Squealor rewrite history so much such that yesterday's sin becomes today's virtue that older animals who remember the truth begin to doubt their own memories.
Life imitates art. And vice versa.
