A 15-year global review (2000-2015) identified 91 cases of swallowed/aspirated dentures, with only 4 fatalities overall and 4 incidents during sleep. US cases numbered 14, but none explicitly fatal from asphyxiation. No national estimates exist; likely fewer than 1 per year in the US based on available data.
