My dad passed when I was young and we decided to light a candle to honor him. My Mom came in to tell me before I walked down the aisle that a butterfly was by the candle all day and wouldn’t leave despite people’s efforts...I KNOW Dad made it to his little girl’s wedding. 🦋

I tell my counseling grad students in our first class that I don’t give out trigger warnings. Not because I’m a big ol’ meanie but because therapy clients **never** will. (Nor is it their responsibility to!)

There is a misconception that therapy is only for times of crisis.

The truth is therapy can be a beneficial endeavor at any time.

Therapy can help you be more self-aware and develop skills to handle life stressors.

@Lioness_389 This is actually incredible advice for those of us about to be in PP! I am high risk for PPD for dealing with depression in general in the past but even for those who don’t struggle with that, it can be a wonderful hack to just focus on the new role!

This pregnancy has caused some serious trust issues in my marriage.
