Announcement: I created an account for @ThirdApron.
I’ll comment on minor salary cap minutiae and probably post clips/plug content in the long run there.

Memphis Grizzlies after trading Santi Aldama for AJ Johnson and picks.
They will create a $17 million trade exception by absorbing AJ Johnson into their small Ja Morant trade exception.
They have that and the $29 million trade exception for taking on more money.

DeMar DeRozan and Brandon Ingram are often labeled as flawed players who are tough to plug into most teams and we might enter a timeline where the Raptors use them as the centerpieces of two separate Kawhi Leonard trades.

Whether it's with cap space or through trade, they've positioned themselves to add a significant upgrade to the roster.

"This saga ends with you taking money off of Cleveland's books for a player they did not want because he hadn't been playing well all year. I don't know what the Kings' plan is or what their vision of success is."
@SamQuinnCBS and I did not like last night's trade for the Kings.
The Philadelphia 76ers will receive significant luxury tax relief from the Paul George drug suspension since it's by the league. Teams can't suspend their own players to gain tax relief.
They can now keep a deeper roster and convert Dominick Barlow and Jabari Walker sooner.
Dennis Schroder has now been traded 8 times. He is now tied with multiple players for the second-most times traded in NBA history.
Trevor Ariza is the leader with 11 trades.
The Cavaliers are now a Lonzo Ball and two minimum salaries dump away from getting under the second apron.
They have three second-round picks remaining to facilitate such moves.
The Bulls will use up the remainder of the big Zach LaVine trade exception they created last year to absorb Dario Saric.
They still have plenty of luxury tax space to facilitate more salary dumps with draft assets.
They now have seven second-round picks at their disposal.
