6 months ago, I was freelancing 20 hrs a day and barely making anything. Burnt out, I lost momentum. Felt like I didn't even belong in tech.
This is how I'm locking back in 🧵
I am in a space, where everyone is asking, how web3 actually works irl, right?
Let me explain, from what i understood?
Uber (Web2)
- You open the Uber app.
- Uber finds you a driver.
- You pay Uber, and Uber pays the driver (after taking a cut).
- Uber decides who gets to drive, who gets banned, and how much everyone earns.
- Uber owns all the data: your location, your ride history, even your ratings.
It’s like a bossy middleman who controls everything.
Now imagine a version of Uber where:
- You don’t need an account—just a digital wallet (like a key to your online identity).
- You post a ride request directly to a public board.
- A driver sees it and accepts. No middleman.
- You both agree on the price, and the money is held safely until the ride is done.
- The system automatically pays the driver when the ride ends.
- Ratings and reviews are stored publicly, so no one can fake them or delete them.
It’s like a community-run taxi system, powered by code instead of a company.
Fine now you know!
Ngl, I feel a bit rushed. I have to pick up React Native fast and be interview-ready in a few days.
Let’s see if late-night coding + caffeine still works its magic😩
