Kenyaโs foreign service officers are the eyes, ears and voice of our country to advance trade and investment.
Through them we understand global trade flows, recognize opportunities, make connections, close transactions and create friendships.
It was a pleasure to train our newest cohort of Foreign Service Officers posted to close to 40 countries across 4 continents on what it takes to be an ambassador for Kenyaโs trade and investment interests.
The training was held in partnership with the State Department for Foreign Affairs, Foreign Services Academy and the Center for Trade and Development.

Witnessed the signing of bilateral agreements between Kenya and Kazakhstan in Astana during my State Visit, a milestone that places our cooperation on a solid and forward-looking trajectory.
The agreements cover ICT and e-government services, agriculture, transport and infrastructure, finance, tourism, climate action, mining, and exploration and space technology.
They form the backbone of a partnership that is gaining momentum and express our commitment to create jobs, facilitate skills transfer, and open new markets.
Our ultimate goal is to ensure that this growing partnership translates into tangible deliverables for the people of our two nations.

Addressing Heads of State, multilateral institutions, and global leaders at the Africa Forward Summit, United Nations Secretary-General H.E. Antรณnio Guterres called for a more inclusive global order - one that fully reflects Africa's demographic, economic, and strategic significance.
Is his remarks, Secretary-General Guterres stated that a system designed without Africa can no longer adequately respond to the realities of today's world. The continued underrepresentation of over 1.5 billion Africans in global decision-making institutions is not only an injustice to the continent, but a deficit for the international community as a whole.
His remarks reinforced the growing call for reform grounded in equity, representation, and shared global responsibility.

Honored to be one of the two launchers in Nairobi of Africa House Paris with Emmanuel Macron. I commend President Macronโs vision and commitment to creating a space that will strengthen connections between Africa and France through culture, dialogue, business, and innovation.
Africa House, Paris, will serve as a platform for Africans and global partners to meet, collaborate, and build meaningful cross-cultural and economic partnerships.
Proud to be part of this journey and committed to seeing the vision through to completion.

Can we let Nairobi breathe!! Plant some trees, build a walking path for humans, ๐ญ not every unoccupied space is meant for shops!!. Now these new shops are right next to the globe roundabout. Very exhausting city
Plans are in top gear for Kenya to host the AfricaโFrance Summit, as we continue with preparatory engagements to firm up key deliverables ahead of the upcoming State Visit by French President H.E. Emmanuel Macron this weekend.
We held a high-level meeting at the National Treasury Building with H.E. Arnaud Suquet, the French Ambassador to Kenya, and my colleagues, PS Korir Singโoei (Foreign Affairs) and PS Betsy Njagi (Blue Economy), to review progress on priority KenyaโFrance bilateral agreements.
Kenya stands to gain immensely from the AfricaโFrance Forum scheduled for Thursday, which will further position the country as a key regional and global hub for investment, diplomacy, and strategic partnerships as we host high-level international delegations.

The Africa Forward Summit 2026 provides a dedicated platform to elevate the depth and visibility of partnerships across sectors of strategic mutual interest.
Our global partners bring significant industrial and technical capacity to this partnership - in aviation, automotive, energy including nuclear, and health manufacturing. These capabilities are directly relevant to Africa's industrialisation agenda. Of particular significance is the potential to expand health commodities manufacturing on the continent, bridging a critical gap in Africa's health security infrastructure.
The Summit will facilitate real-time engagement between African and French private sector players, creating the conditions for partnerships that are concrete, commercially grounded and mutually beneficial.
Principal Secretary for Foreign and Diaspora Affairs, Amb. Korir Sing'Oei, outlines the sectoral partnership opportunities that the Summit is positioned to unlock.

Held a brief engagement with Baroness Chapman of Darlington (UK Development Minister), where we discussed Domestic Resource Mobilization (DRM) and the need to strengthen sustainable financing mechanisms.
Our exchange focused on advancing infrastructure through innovative financing models, strengthening health financing within the Social Health Authority (SHA) framework and scaling up Affordable Housing as a driver of inclusive growth.
We also highlighted railway development as a critical enabler of economic connectivity and underscored the role of Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs) in bridging financing gaps.
I emphasized the importance of leveraging domestic resources and strategic partnerships to sustain long-term development priorities.
Thank you London. My third Abott Major medal is on my neck. And on a day that humanity made a giant leap on marathon history. Itโs also the first time a Kenya High Commissioner has run the #TCSLondonMarathon. We just opened the door to more possibilities. Thank you Coach Dedan Miricho and my #AccountabilityPartners. Next up? Please stay tuned.

Cabinet Secretary for @Environment_Ke Dr. @DeboraBarasa today participated in the Environment Ministersโ Meeting in Paris, France, where Kenya stood out as the only non-G7 African country represented at this high-level engagement.
Kenya continues to play a proactive role in shaping global climate and environmental action. We remain focused on ensuring that international engagements translate into tangible outcomes for our people and ecosystems.
Today, I attended the Environment Ministersโ Meeting in Paris, France, where Kenya stood out as the only non-G7 country from Africa represented at this high-level engagement.
Our discussions focused on key environment track priorities, including advancing nature and people finance, with an intended outcome of establishing an alliance to coordinate public and private biodiversity financing and support impactful projects. We also addressed the need to strengthen Marine Protected Areas (MPAs), with an intended outcome of creating a collaborative alliance and scaling its work across G7 countries and beyond.
Further engagements focused on the urgent need to combat Illegal, Unreported and Unregulated (IUU) fishing, with an intended outcome of a joint statement to enhance collective action. We also explored solutions to emerging water pollutants, with an intended outcome of delivering a joint declaration under the G7 Water Coalition. In addition, we deliberated on the nexus between desertification and security, with an intended outcome of a statement recognizing their interlinkages.
I emphasized that Kenya does not approach such engagements with abstractions, but with real and pressing climate realities โ from drying rivers to retreating glaciers and the lived experiences of our communities. The science is clear, and the solutions exist. The question before us is one of political will. Kenya stands ready to lead and to partner with others to drive meaningful climate action.
I was accompanied by Dr. Pacifica Ogola, Director of the Climate Change Directorate, and Michael Okumu, Deputy Director, Climate Change.
