🚨 Ironically, Indian Media Didn’t Cover This
Three Indian teenagers created Plas-stick, a biodegradable powder from tamarind seeds that removes microplastics from water without electricity or complex machinery
They won the 2026 Earth Prize, making India proud 🇮🇳
Feeding on separation, fear and managed hostility, they (gated communities) normalise suspicion and embody principles that reward exclusion and punish presence. https://t.co/jIJXvBKPco
There is, therefore, singular disorientation to those moments when they fail us — when these prefabricated containers of language turn out too small to contain emotions at once overwhelmingly expansive and acutely specific.

The significance of words beautifully articulated by #MariaPopova
Because we know their power, we ask of words to hold what we cannot hold — the complexity of experience, the polyphony of voices inside us narrating that experience, the longing for clarity amid the confusion.

Worlds first scented billboard. #McD
As I watched the video I smelled the fries too! The power of suggestion!
Just as the tongue can `sense' what it would be like to lick something without actually doing it, the brain can smell without the nose! https://t.co/Y8ax9b5MCQ
#TIL that sharing beds with family, friends and even strangers was the norm until as late as middle 18th century and it had no sexual connotations attached. 😳https://t.co/pMuHU8VTYb
@apindia Pre-held beliefs could be about the efficacy of pill treatment, the prescribing agency etc. A difference I do see is of declaring placebo at the outset vs. peddling falsehood without pre-labelling it. That's what I find fascinating about the clinical placebo effectiveness.
People consume placebos knowing they are such (open label placebos) & find it benefitting them. Similar placebo effects are evident in politics (choosing to believe blatantly false messaging) & cultural context (meta-ads) too. Where else do you see them?

Deeply disappointed by the service and poor processes around complaint handling at #JioMart. Why have a complaint number and email if both only close complaint unilaterally without any attempt to even understand the issue!!!! Total #fail on #CustomerService.
Museum of Censored Art opens in Barcelona. I go `Yess!' & then `Oh wait, what was this artist trying to say? What does saying it do?' in some cases (like the one of Virgin Mary with her hand between her legs). I would like to understand. Truly.
