We had some truly great times at this office: xtc, clojurebridge, playing music, hosting talks, long lunches on the terrace. We managed to get some work done as well. ❤️
While we're sad to let go, we're also super excited to begin our next adventure as a fully remote company! 🎊
After 7 years at @nilenso , I’m looking for my next role! I've worked with multiple languages and stacks, in complex microservices environments at scale as well as zero-to-one teams. I’d like to move to London, so I'm in search of opportunities there. Please RT 🙏

Thanks for the stimulating conversation, Deepak and Sujatha
What books would you recommend to a web developer looking to learn more about sales (in a consulting context) and running an org? Thanks!
P.S. This person being a web dev probably doesn't matter, but do share if there's any material out there tailored to this audience.
life update: I have left @nilenso after almost a decade.
currently on a much needed break for a few months. but interested in companies using #Clojure in #japan and looking to hire (providing visa).

@naveedahmedm@itssynecdoche@nilenso Most policies are centred around making sure people can be / are productive while working remotely (from anywhere in the world).
We're trying to figure out if we can support travel, acco and other expenses when folks are operating from non-permanent locations.
Hello good people of Twitter! Could you recommend a few good work-from-anywhere policies?
We're trying to figure out if @nilenso can sponsor travel, stay and living expenses for people who want to embrace workations more this year. Is this feasible?
@abhin4v@nilenso@FnConf 1. Structure and Interpretation of Computer Programs
2. The Pragmatic Programmer
3. Wizard Zines
4. Joy of Clojure
5. On Writing Well
What do you think of our list?
@nilenso, our absolute favourite thing to do at conferences is give away books. If you're @FnConf this year, let us buy you a book that our team has enjoyed reading. ♥️
The productivity loss from #RBI's new emandate is immeasurable.
All of our energies have been redirected towards figuring out how to pay for the subscription services we use, rather than on our business.
Regulation that interrupts service is actively harmful.
@timcheadle@louiswu@nilenso Of course, people are free to seek counseling elsewhere, and nilenso will reimburse those expenses as well. The tie up is to help you find a place to start (if you need it).
* Collective ownership (no bosses)
* <35 work week, no weekend work
* Unlimited learning budget
* Physical and mental health coverage including tie-ups for therapy
* 6mo parental leave (un-gendered)
* No questions asked menstrual leave
@nilenso
Name any employee-friendly policy in your, or any other startup/large org, that's super helpful/really cool.
Ex: Unlimited sick leaves, work from anywhere, No meetings on Fridays etc...
@timcheadle@louiswu@nilenso We realised there was a lot of friction involved in finding a good counselor, so we tied up with https://t.co/4GOlSyIb9g. nilenso is billed for the session without any names being disclosed.
