In a shocking turn of events, the bail hearing of the accused students in the Sainik School student death case ended with the Principal Magistrate of the Juvenile Justice Board (JJB) recusing himself from giving an order. According to Tadu Nancy, the victim's sister, the Principal Magistrate abruptly left the courtroom without providing a proper reason.
The JJB later passed a verdict, stating that the accused students would be placed under the custody of the Vice Principal, where the accused students will be staying separately at the school, instead of being sent to a juvenile home. This decision has sparked widespread outrage, with many questioning the fairness of the judicial process.
The parents of the other students studying
at Sainik School have expressed deep concern over the safety of their children, especially since the accused students are still in the school under the Vice Principal's custody.
They have alleged that the accused students, were seen playing and eating with other students after the Principal Magistrate sent the 8 CCLs(child in conflict with law) under the custody of Vice Principal of Sainik School on 4th of November, which has further fueled their anger and frustration.

🚨🚨: Shyamkanu Mahanta & other accused in the Zubeen Garg Murder case really played with the Assam Chief Minister. Links, relationships and close network exposed.
The Zubeen Garg Death case has revealed how lobbying, power and close connection with the Government can protect, delay the mode of justice.
Shyamkanu Mahanta, a ’so-called’ Cultural Entrepreneur has really toyed with the Chief Minister and the Government, with the Assamese people witnessing it live.
The Assam Chief Minister, who was previously known for his decisive action, seems to slow down while acting against the culprits of the Zubeen Death case.
The Chief Minister announced a CID enquiry against four individuals - Shyamkanu, Siddharth Sharma, Sanjive Narain and Shekhar Goswami.
Shockingly, it has been 11-days and no arrests have been made.
While summons, look-out notices were issued, the accused relentlessly used social media to ‘clarify’ themselves, with the Government only being mere spectators.
The Chief Minister stated that if he cannot serve justice to Zubeen, one shall not vote for him the next time. As such, with the power lobbying being vibrantly visible, it will be crucial to see what the Government does.
Shyamkanu, Siddharth, Sanjive, Shekhar and other accused really showed the people how easily power can toy an entire Government.
Meanwhile, multiple arrests have been made of protestors citing incitement of violence. As such, the question remains whether power and relations will make the Government act, or leave the public mourn the grief of failing to serve justice to the beloved icon.

Last month, I wrote to the Secretary of the Union Ministry of @TribalAffairsIn highlighting the alarming issue of severe under-allocation and delays in the disbursal of funds under the National Fellowship for Higher Education and National Overseas Scholarship for ST students. Today, the same concern has been reported in the newspapers.
I urge the Union Government to resolve this issue at the earliest, as thousands of tribal scholars depend on timely support. I will continue to follow up until the issue is resolved.
