Heartbreaking & shameful: In Korutla, Jagtial district (Telangana), police stopped a Hindu funeral procession of a woman named Sheshikala (who died of cancer) for over 30 minutes — forcing the family to wait on the road under the sun with the body — just to clear the way for Irrigation Minister N. Uttam Kumar Reddy’s convoy & election campaign meeting during the ongoing Municipal polls.

This happened in the Kalvagadda vegetable market area. The family & locals protested, and only after media arrived & public outrage grew did police allow the procession to continue.
