I write in @AJEnglish on India's unemployment crisis.
Beyond numbers, I report on what the crisis looks like for young firstgen graduates in smalltowns, villages. And, why the crisis is structural.
This is how Indian squanders its demographic dividend

Appalling that Telangana CM Revanth Reddy proudly admits his 'HYDRAA' is inspired by Hitler. It exposes his RSS roots & facist mindset and @INCIndia leadership owe explanation to the Nation on the issue.
TMC imploded faster than we thought it would. Pretty embarrassing for anyone to have been a sincere and enthusiastic supporter of such a nonsense party.
For 440 days, farmers in Byramangala, Karnataka, have been protesting against the acquisition of 9,600 acres of fertile land in Bidadi for a township project. #AIKS joined the struggle in solidarity, demanding withdrawal of the state government's approval.
"Cuba is currently under the real and dangerous threat of direct military aggression from the US gov't."
VP of Cuba's National Assembly Ana María Mari Machado slams Trump's "aggressive escalation" against the island.
She maintains that Cuba is willing to engage in dialogue withe the US based on "respect for our sovereignty."
This is what Bolivia's highways look like at the moment.
Each town & village blocks their stretch, and the union members in each community take turns at the barricades. This is part of the general strike against neoliberalism. Now entering week 3.
Here is how justice works in Trump’s Washington.
The Biden Justice Department indicted Gautam Adani, one of the world’s wealthiest men, for a $265 million scheme to bribe Indian government officials and defraud American investors.
The Trump Justice Department just let him walk.
Last month, Adani’s lawyer, Robert Giuffra, who also happens to be one of Donald Trump's personal attorneys, walked into the Justice Department with an offer: drop the charges, and Adani will invest $10 billion in the U.S. economy.
When this Administration talks about fighting fraud, what they mean is fighting fraud that doesn’t come with a check attached. This is the most corrupt administration in American history, and they are not even trying to hide it anymore.

Bolivia's general strike is GROWING. The Chuquisaca region, that hadn't joined the strike, has now joined and built workers barricades surrounding city. Also, valley roads to Santa Cruz are all blocked off now for first time.
Week 1: 20 highways blocked
Week 2: 40
Week 3: 60+
Germany is in panic over Chinese companies taking over its markets at home, abroad and in China. Having spent quite some time in China in the 2010s, I can’t help but thinking back to the arrogance and quite frankly racism of German expat businesses people. Chinese engineers with Ivy League degrees speaking fluent English and German looked down upon by German engineers with a degree from some German university, unimpressive English and less than two sentences of Chinese. The Germans didn’t see it coming because they couldn’t imagine Chinese people becoming better at what they are doing than themselves. An industry insider told me at the time how keen Chinese entrepreneurs were to collaborate with German car companies on EV development. But all the Germans worried about was they are going to steal our IP. Well, here we are.
This is Bolivia: Day 8 of the general strike, barricades across all the highways bringing all trade and economic activity to a halt, commercial trucks backed up for miles. This continues until the neoliberal govt resigns.
Workers of every country have their Strait of Hormuz.
Yet another striking illustration of just how ideologically rigid the West has become compared to what we used to be.
This was the obituary The Economist published for Mao in 1976 - at the height of the Cold War.
Read this part:
"In the final reckoning Mao must be accepted as one of history's great achievers: for devising a peasant-centred revolutionary strategy which enabled China's Communist party to seize power, against Marx's prescriptions, from bases in the countryside; for directing the transformation of China from a feudal society wracked by war and bled by corruption, into a unified egalitarian state where nobody starves; and for reviving national pride and confidence so that China could, in Mao's words, 'stand up' among the great power."
Show this text to any Economist "journalists" today - without telling them it's from their own paper - and they'd reply: surely it's "CCP propaganda" 😏
Yes, incredible as it may sound, there used to be a time when Western journalists could assess a geopolitical rival honestly and respectfully without being accused of being a traitor. And this honesty was in no small part a key factor why the West won the Cold War.
Today we call honest assessment "propaganda," and we harass, smear, and blacklist people for it. And we're puzzled why the West is in steep decline.
Truth matters.
Bolivia's government has ordered the arrest of all the main leaders of the indigenous movements and mineworkers unions.
They're being charged for Terrorism for having organised the general strike against hunger. Strike continues regardless, now in day 7.
Indians in Taiwan worried by rising racism
A political candidate has promised to ban Indian workers from Taiwan
His campaign poster depicts a man with a turban and the flag of India with a large cross over both
We remember Comrade Puchalapalli Sundarayya on his death anniversary. Comrade Sundarayya is recognized as a builder of the Communist Party, strategist of the agrarian revolution, defender of Marxist-Leninist principles and a man closely associated with the masses.
Sundarayya stepped into his role as an organizer of the Party very early, and was taken into the Central Committee of the Party, the first organized leading body of the Party which was constituted after the release of the Meerut prisoners, in 1934. He was the Secretary of the Andhra Communist Party Committee at the time of its formation and played an important role in leading the Telangana armed struggle, that paved the way for the liberation of people from the feudal yoke of the Nizam rule. He was also one of the founders of the All India Kisan Sabha and was elected as its Joint Secretary. As General Secretary of the CPI(M) from its inception in 1964 to 1976, Comrade Sundarayya played a major role in establishing the Party as a leading force in the Left movement in the country. As a Member of Parliament and state legislature, he set an example of how to take up people's issues. Comrade PS reared successive generations of cadres and inspired them by his life and example.
Lal Salam Comrade PS!
Bolivia's indigenous long march is approaching the capital.
Rural communities have been marching for 6 days through the Andes demanding the resignation of neoliberal President Rodrigo Paz due to the economic disaster caused by his free-market policies.
Rupee has now slipped to 96+ to a dollar.
Blame the rising crude, OK.
But why is it falling against Thai, Sri Lankan, Pakistani and Bangladeshi currencies.
En Bolivia, obreros, campesinos, maestros de escuela, indígenas y transportistas, llevan mas de 2 semanas paralizando el país contra las políticas neoliberales del gobierno de Rodrigo Paz, y medios occidentales ni informan.
Bolivian workers have seized the airport located near Evo Morales' residence (Chimoré airport), the runway has been occupied in order to stop US planes or helicopters from landing.
Leaked docs (attached below) show US forces & Bolivian police have planned a raid to kidnap Evo.
Norman makes the point that any sentient human being who isn't a propagandist liar scumbag like everyone in the Zionist media and political class knows to be an obvious truism: October 7 was literally the most filmed military operation in all of human history, with countless hours of CCTV footage from all the settler communities and military bases, bodycam and other footage from rape-soldiers and police and in helicopters and planes, the phone footage from the settlers, the bodycams from Hamas themselves.
And in all these countless hours of video and tens of thousands of photos, the Israeli death-cult did not identify a single case, not even a single case, of any sexual violence at all, even just groping, let alone rape.
Not even one case. Zero. The number is literally zero.
And as Norman notes, there is no other physical evidence either. No forensic evidence, all the bodies that were carefully examined by forensic pathologists did not show a single instance of sexual violence as Haaretz was forced to admit (see https://t.co/eHT9jlITDm). There is nothing.
And yet the New York Times (Jeffrey Gettleman, Anat Schwartz, Adam Sella), BBC (Lucy Williamson, Lucy Manning), Guardian (Bethan McKernan), Washington Post (Shira Rubin), NBC News (Anna Schecter), AP (Tia Goldenberg and Edith Lederer), Reuters (Maayan Lubell and Emily Rose), all conspired together to fabricated and launder the most depraved genocidal atrocity propaganda hoax in modern history, all to ensure that their precious Israeli death and rape-cult could continue its actual mass pedophilic rape and mutilation of Palestinian babies, toddlers, children, girls, boys, women and men.
The most depraved shameless scum who have ever walked this planet.
