A plane ✈️ is not a family hall, a train compartment, or a picnic ground. It is a sealed metal tube at 35,000 feet with strangers who did not buy a ticket to your gathering.

A group of passengers on an IndiGo flight unpacked a full homemade spread, theplas, dhoklas, samosas, plates passed across rows, people moving in the aisle, some doing nails , while other passengers sat through it.

They cleaned up afterwards. That does not make it fine. Cleaning up after you treat a cabin like a private dining room is the minimum, not a virtue.

Carrying your own snack is allowed. Turning the aisle into service, standing when you should be seated, filling the cabin with smell, noise and movement is not “culture.” It is disregard for shared space. Turbulence does not wait for your buffet to finish. Other people on that flight may be flying to a funeral, a hospital, a job interview, or simply trying to sleep after a hard week. They do not owe you an audience for your “desi swag.”

The defence that this is warmth, family, or Indianness is lazy. Warmth that only works by ignoring everyone else is not warmth. It is entitlement. The same pattern keeps showing up: loud games mid-air, standing and gossiping in the aisle, treating crew requests as optional. That is not a stereotype invented by outsiders. It is footage Indians keep posting of themselves.
Civic sense is not Western. It is the basic rule of any crowded public place: your comfort stops where someone else’s journey begins.

If the only way a group outing feels complete is by occupying the whole cabin, the problem is not the airline. It is the habit of treating other people’s silence as empty space to fill.

#WATCH | Thane, Maharashtra: More than 100 people are undergoing treatment at the Rukminibai Hospital after being bitten by stray dogs in the Kalyan area.

Chief Medical Officer, Rukminibai Hospital, Sulochana Tribhuvan says, "There has been a significant rise in dog bite cases recently; yesterday alone—from morning until midnight—we treated a total of 58 patients. We provided treatment based on the specific category of the bite. Category 1 involves cases where a person feels they were bitten, but no visible wound appears... Category 2 involves minor scratches or abrasions, which we also treat. Then there is the special category involving bleeding... Out of yesterday's 58 patients, we admitted 23. Regarding the incident itself, we learned that it occurred in ​​the Kalyan West area. Today, we saw a total of 103 new patients; 46 of them fell into the serious category... We have provided treatment to all of them, and we have an adequate supply of vaccines available. I would like to urge everyone living in Kalyan: if you were bitten by a dog a day or two ago, please do not take it lightly... Rabies is a disease for which there is no cure..."

#WATCH | Kalyan, Maharashtra: A stray dog allegedly injuring around 125–130 people in seven hours across the stretch from Sandeep Hotel to Khadakpada.

Dr. Mohammad Anees, Rukminibai Hospital, says, "A total of 48 dog bite cases were reported to us on August 9th... The remaining cases likely went to private facilities. As for the localities these patients are from, most are from Chikanghar, Godrej Hill, Adharwadi, and Reti Bandar in Kalyan West. Some are in serious condition; specifically, young children with deep bite injuries have been referred to Sion Hospital for treatment by a pediatric surgeon."
