@ashubihani @potax Nobody can ever be sure that the next recession will not wipe out the bank where you invested all your money either. That is where judgment comes in. By all means, build an emergency fund, buy insurance, but saving for retirement can wait until you can afford to do it.

@potax What you earn through investing your early earnings may become trivial in your future, but what you give up (shorter commute, networking opportunities) may hurt you more in your personal or professional life.

@potax I actually think it is good advice, but when applied in context with due judgment. The whole point of investing, debt etc is consumption smoothening. If you are reasonably sure of future earnings growth, giving up pleasures in the present may not be a good idea.
