India doesn't just need reforms in politicsтАФwe need reforms in media.
A truly free press cannot exist if it's driven by political influence, corporate interests, or profit alone. News organizations should be independent, transparent, and accountable to the public, not to governments or business houses.
Today, many people feel that independent journalists and activists are doing the kind of ground reporting that mainstream media once did. When critical voices are silenced through pressure, intimidation, or financial influence, democracy becomes weaker.
I miss the days when media exposed uncomfortable truths, produced impactful documentaries, questioned those in power, and forced action on issues that mattered to ordinary people. Journalism should give a voice to the peopleтАФnot amplify anyone's agenda.
A democracy deserves a media that informs, investigates, and holds power accountableтАФwhoever is in power.

Meet Rhiya Ahir, Mumbai Woman Who Broke The Internet as she blocked a Mumbai Police Van during CJP Protests - the daughter of a Fauji, she says the Z in Gen Z is for 'Ziddi' ! An unmissable conversation. More reports here https://t.co/izltKtw2UY
The comedy coming out of the protests writes itself тАж some brilliant stuff ЁЯШВЁЯШВ
I promise to answer people talking like this тАж

We should welcome fast-track courts, stricter penalties, and tougher punishments for those involved in exam paper leaks. Students deserve justice. But I have two fundamental questions.
1. Why are we still treating the symptoms instead of the cause?
Around the world, many examination systems operate with robust safeguards that significantly reduce the risk of leaks. Why aren't we investing in making our exams as secure and leak proof as possible? The goal should be preventing the next leak, not planning how to punish it after it happens.
2. Where is accountability?
If accountability is expected from everyone else, why has the Education Minister not taken moral responsibility and resigned? Reforms and corrective measures should not come only after a crisis. They should have been in place to prevent one.
The government came to power promising a better future. Students deserve a system they can trustтАФnot repeated assurances after repeated failures.

Democracy must not only be upheld, but must also be seen to be upheld.
The protests by students and young people in New Delhi should be handled with responsibility and sensitivity. Governments must listen to their genuine concerns and work towards meaningful solutions. Peaceful protest is a fundamental democratic right. At the same time, everyone should exercise restraint and ensure that the protests remain peaceful.
The NEET paper leak has shaken the confidence of students and parents in the examination system. This makes it essential to introduce comprehensive reforms that improve transparency, security, and accountability in the conduct of examinations.
In Andhra Pradesh too, evidence has emerged regarding leaks, irregularities, and malpractice in the DSC examinations. Instead of treating the issue as a political controversy, an impartial inquiry by an independent agency is needed.
Whether it is NEET or DSC, there should be no compromise when it comes to the future of students. Bringing out the truth, fixing systemic flaws, and taking strict action against those responsible is the duty of every democratic government.
Millions of parents in India make immense sacrifices because they believe education is the path to a better life. When students are deprived of fair opportunities, and some are driven to despair and even suicide, it is a national crisisтАФnot something to dismiss.
The government must take accountability, address these concerns, ensure the release of Sonam Wangchuk, and respond to the demands raised by CJP, including the resignation of the Education Minister. Labelling protests as тАЬdeep state propagandaтАЭ does not solve the problem.
Peaceful protest is a constitutional right. When students take to the streets, it reflects the seriousness of their concerns. Responding with force, tear gas, and detentions is not the answer. Listen. Engage. Act.

As one voice pauses to recover, another steps forward. CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke has announced that he is beginning an indefinite hunger strike, effective immediately.
