@urd001 It is quite literally not up for debate. You look at any incarceration status and look at the crimes committed by men. You can argue that the stats don’t look the way you want all your life and it will not change the statistics.
@urd001 Yes crime and deviance will always exist in humans regardless of gender. The fact males commit these crimes at a 90% (generous) higher rate than women do, with women being more victimized entirely, is statistically significant.
There is no discussion only evidence
@ReadDoofus@_nomadic_soul Anyone can say “ my reasoning is God-given”.
The Bible is the only definite proof of that statement as it is the sole word of God.
If your authority is your own reasoning even if you call it God-given then how is that different from just following your own beliefs?
@ReadDoofus@_nomadic_soul If you, the believer, decide which parts of the Bible are true, what standard are you using and where does that standard come from?
If it’s not the Bible, then what is your authority, and how is that any different from just following your own beliefs?
@_nomadic_soul The Bible encourages oppression of women. It is not a patriarchal interpretation. It is what it is.
1 Timothy 2:11-12 alone should make you uncomfortable even looking at a church let alone praying to that same bible and calling yourself feminist in the same breath.
@_nomadic_soul Why am I mad that you claim to be a feminist indulging in a religion that encourages oppression of women in holy text? Really? And that I don’t feel you can just pick and remove the commandments you don’t like from the mouth of the God you worship?
@_nomadic_soul “I reject God’s word and will as clearly stated by him in the Bible in favor of my own Worldly beliefs”
You can’t truly commit to anything can you
@Ryanfrancis_22 I do not believe you can choose, as in force yourself, to be sexually attracted to people. That’s a natural thing you can’t help but feel.
@Karuizawaitgirl What we can agree on then is it’s not a choice. I was being sarcastic, because this guy clearly thinks it’s a choice. If you’re not born gay then you’re not born straight either. The insinuation someone is naturally straight but chooses to be gay is audacious.
@Karuizawaitgirl Prove that to me. Theres no way of knowing if I was born straight or conditioned to be that way by society, which is what this guy thinks gay people are.
@Kononeko12 You’re not born straight bro, sorry.
Being straight is a mental thing, you decide it on your own, or the people surrounding you pressure you into it.
@mrSquid100 You read the line “he would ravish her and cut her throat at the time of climax” and then put sexual assault in quotations, are you serious?
