@DavidWalsh_M@marksandspencer@CampaignNocado This is a Google Earth view of Yerbury Primary School with adjacent playgrounds towering over the proposed Ocado depot forecourt, a skipping rope away. How high would the’green wall’ have to be ???
My husband @rufusbound went to the new Gail's in Archway during his lunchbreak today simply because it was attacked for a 2nd time by mouth breathing antisemites. It was a little after lunchtime but it was still doing good business. Visit your nearest Gail's this week! 🥐 🍞 ☕
@NationalTheatre@TheStage@ace_national What do I need to do as a paying member of the public to get a follow up response to a formal complaint - now almost two months old and two chasers ? See attached
Fuck me! Will Shakespeare had the measure of inhumanity to strangers 400 years ago which Sir Ian McKellen so effortlessly and so beautifully articulated 400 years later.
When headlines erase Jews from history, because it doesn’t fit their narrative, it distorts the truth. Never again starts with never forgetting the facts.
@antisemitism Next, note which national party leaders posted an additional personal statement on X - and which didn’t.
The ones that didn’t:
Nigel Farage
Zack Polanski
Goosebumps.
Gal Gadot with one of the most perfect speeches from a little while back. Give yourself 10 mins to watch.
“𝙊𝙪𝙧 𝙡𝙤𝙫𝙚 is stronger than 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙞𝙧 𝙝𝙖𝙩𝙚.
What happens to Jews 𝙖𝙣𝙮𝙬𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙚, affects Jews 𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙮𝙬𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙚”
This woman. Thank you
Tomorrow is Holocaust Remembrance Day.
And if you’ve never heard of Master Sergeant Roddie Edmonds, it’s time you did.
Captured during WWII. Thrown into a Nazi POW camp with over 1,200 fellow Americans, 200 of them Jewish.
One day, the Nazis gave an order:
“All Jewish soldiers, step forward.”
Edmonds gave a different order:
“Everyone fall out.”
All 1,200 stood shoulder to shoulder.
The Nazi commandant lost it.
Stormed over. Pulled a pistol. Pressed it to Edmonds’ forehead.
“Identify the Jews or I’ll shoot you.”
Edmonds didn’t blink.
“We are all Jews here.
If you shoot me, you’ll have to shoot us all.
And when we win this war, you’ll be tried for war crimes.”
The Nazi backed down.
Two hundred Jewish-American lives were saved.
Edmonds never told a soul.
Not for credit. Not for medals. Not even to his own son.
He didn’t want to be a hero.
He just wanted to do what was right.
Let the world never forget his courage.
Let his words echo forever.
We are all Jews here.
NIE WIEDER heißt erinnern.
NIE WIEDER heißt zuhören.
NIE WIEDER heißt hinschauen.
NIE WIEDER heißt Haltung zeigen.
NIE WIEDER heißt jeden Tag.
NIE WIEDER heißt jetzt.
Today I remember the millions of people murdered because of antisemitic hate and prejudice.
Holocaust Memorial Day reminds us that we must preserve their memory to ensure those horrors never happen again. This government is determined to root out antisemitism and discrimination.
