Roses, the symbol of romance, love, beauty, and courage. What would become of them if I weren't there to give them that beautiful red color? I would hate to be without them just as much as you do. #OrganelleVote2021
What can you have in a plant cell that's not in a human cell? The chromoplast! There's no specific organelle for melanin either! Isn't it cool how I exist for such a job that animal cells don't have? #OrganelleVote2021
Did you know that for fruit to ripen, chloroplasts have to convert into chromoplasts so that they lose their green color? They are only temporary for photosynthesis but I am forever so that I can put their work to real use.
@BioCytoplasm Yeah but how many of you would be there to support me if I wasn't there? You could say that same thing for everyone else but it does not change the fact that they are all important for giving you a purpose. Without us, you're nothing. Sorry but not sorry. ¯\_( ͡❛ ͜ʖ ͡❛)_/¯
Some people out there even have careers or hobbies that are indirectly dedicated to my work! Where do you get a beautiful bouquet to give to someone you love? Who's the wonderful person who grew your fruits at home with such love and care? For that to exist, you need me.
Going on with my last post, eating fruits and looking at flowers can seem so insignificant, but they're really not. There are people out there whose careers are indirectly dedicated to my work. If you just think, there are so many experiences one can have from those 2 things.
People don't really think I'm so important but in reality, don't most people in life think about what's in front of them rather than each little cell function that keeps them alive? Yes, living is important but it's experience that makes it worthwhile. That's what I'm there for.
Did you know that I also make pigments in some roots as well? Do you like carrots or sweet potatoes? They're so good for you and you can eat them because of me.
You guys know all about me, but I would love to get to know you too! I'd hate to be a candidate that's self-absorbed. Tell me, what do you think's the tastiest fruit? What kind of flowers do you think are the prettiest?
Think about your favorite fruit. Is it an apple, an orange, banana, even a mango? They need me so that they can be ripe and ready to eat. You'd never be able to enjoy them without my presence. I'm not all just about color if that's what you think.
Look at this pic and tell me what you'd rather eat. It's that red and juicy strawberry, right? Because of me you can have those strawberries whenever you want! Vote chromoplast!
If you've seen the bee movie, you know how this world would be without pollination. Of course, I can't take all the credit but my pigmentations certainly help. #OrganelleVote2021
Other organelles may think I have no important effect on life, but I do! I indirectly help pollination and regrowth of new plants so that those other organelles can do their job. #OrganelleVote2021
Did you know that what I do attracts pollinators and consumers who enjoy colored fruits? This helps spread seeds so more fruits and flowers can grow for others to eat! I’m not just all about colors you know! #spreadtheseeds#plastidlife
You know, because my pigments help pollination and spreading seeds, I help bring purpose to every other organelle. Less of them would exist without me. Isn’t that kinda funny?
Butterflies are most attracted to the warm colors that I make in flowers! Not only would it be so nice to see a pretty bed of flowers but a butterfly too? Perfect for insta I would say.
