The cancelling of snap benefits is making my heart heavy and it’s going to affect so many. If you’re in the Delaware/Maryland area my dad volunteers at the Aaron’s Place food bank in Denton, Maryland and they always have lots of free food available. Meats, lots of produce, bread, canned goods, etc. If you need it/know someone who could benefit, please share.

Black people, please do not write off GI symptoms. I beg of you. You know your body, and I know it’s hard to get people to listen to us but we HAVE to be our own biggest advocate. We are THE largest group hit when it comes to colorectal cancer with the highest mortality rates. Pancreatic cancer is so deadly because it’s hides very easily and often until it’s too late. Please please please get screen regularly and listen when your body is talkin to you. We deserve to grow old too.
