@danthony98@TheGameVerse Dr. No, Thunderball, The Man with the Golden Gun, You Only Live Twice, Live and Let Die, and No Time To Die all primarily take place on or heavily feature an island. There are plenty more with island visits. I'd almost ask "which Bond movies DON'T take place on an island?"

@LookitsAllSkill@_m0ab 144 FPS would be a huge coincidence as that's a common monitor refresh rate. My guess is they have v-sync on (and probably also G-sync/Freesync).
@wspruijt I asked my wife what she thought would happen if the CEO synonymous with "AI" got fired. After she was done rolling her eyes, she said:
1. A competitor will grab him (MSFT did) and
2. He'll take his toys with him (500 people are threatening to leave).
I'm a proud husband 😂
What a dumb move by the OpenAI board. Sam Altman is basically synonymous with AI and then they fire him for vague reasons. What did they think was going to happen? Obviously, going to get hired immediately by a huge player and the whole company was going to be pissed. So dumb! 🤦
We remain committed to our partnership with OpenAI and have confidence in our product roadmap, our ability to continue to innovate with everything we announced at Microsoft Ignite, and in continuing to support our customers and partners. We look forward to getting to know Emmett Shear and OAI's new leadership team and working with them. And we’re extremely excited to share the news that Sam Altman and Greg Brockman, together with colleagues, will be joining Microsoft to lead a new advanced AI research team. We look forward to moving quickly to provide them with the resources needed for their success.
Note that if you cancel your @unbounce subscription, it doesn't just disable your account. It literally DELETES every landing page you carefully hand-crafted and all the metrics you've gathered. Great way to ensure I never use a product again or recommend it to any other PMs.😠
Any responsible CTO should now assign a much higher risk to Google shutting down GCP than to Amazon doing this with AWS, Microsoft with Azure, or Oracle with OCI.
Google made ~$180M selling Google Domains, but the damage to its cloud business will be much, much bigger, IMO.
@wspruijt All the Lego series games are great fun for both the parents and kids! Plus there are so many to choose from, from Marvel to Harry Potter and everything in between. Also Nintendo games like Mario Odyssey and New Super Mario Bros U Deluxe have companion or kid modes.
While I don't fully agree, these are fair points. A backlog of some sort has to exist to plan future work but using it as a dumping ground for ideas and low-priority work is a sign of poor product management. If it's full of high-priority work, it certainly means "hire".
Backlogs are a symptom, not a tool. The very existence of a backlog tells you that you don't have the capacity to do the work, so you defer it. Replace the backlog w/ capacity. Improve processes. Don't work on non-value-add stuff. Minimize waste. Hire ppl. Do whatever it takes.
🚨 Breaking news from the land of paywalls:
Microsoft, OpenAI’s biggest investor, plans to integrate ChatGPT into Bing search by March 2023.
Microsoft already has plans in place for a DALLE-2 integration through “Bing Image Creator” as seen here: https://t.co/XsBpzx5SiN
Solving https://t.co/WtzRWeRg9W challenges with OpenAI's GPT3 at https://t.co/qu8JclRsD7 is surprisingly fun and rewarding! Here's its winning answer in Python for the first challenge based purely on my codeless description of the challenge.
I'm absolutely blown away by the quality of art generated by Stable Diffusion. This is not the death of art. It's the arrival of a new tool. I've been hooked for days making wallpapers for everyone I know! See a selection of work I've generated here: https://t.co/1YW7sbTR9z
