The next war won't be won by armies, navies or air forces alone.
It'll be won by the country whose 19 year olds can code, whose factories can build drones in weeks not years, and whose grid stays on when someone tries to switch it off.
Industry. Society. Economy. That's the fight now.
We're not ready. And we're not being honest about what getting ready will cost.
We’re hiring skilled mechanics to help keep over 30,000 British Army vehicles mission-ready, from Land Rovers to Challenger 2 tanks. Your skills are transferable, the scale is just bigger. Ready for a new challenge? Find out more: https://t.co/MxYuOijzBi
The hurdles will require a huge societal, educational & cultural shift.
Bigger & broader than politics.
We can do that.
We have done that before.
Let's do it.
Let's do it together. @OrzelRosyth@PLinEdinburgh@RoyalNavy@damen@GraemeDownieMP
Stigma still makes it hard for SMEs to attract defence talent. With defence now a national priority and a clearer skills pipeline in place, SMEs can unlock their full innovative potential. Read our ‘Next Line of Defence’ report to see how https://t.co/CqZPFdVeoF

Russia has been portraying the EU and Ukraine’s leadership as “warmongers” unwilling to end the war. This is, of course, an outright lie.
In reality, it is the Kremlin that has rejected at least seven peace proposals in 2025 alone.

💬 My predecessor, Foreign Minister Józef Beck, when he concluded the treaty with Great Britain in 1939, travelled to London and also negotiated a British military loan for Poland.
It was not denominated in PLN, but in GBP. I do not know what interest rate it carried.
But I do know that he did not seek to use that loan to undermine Poland’s sovereignty, but to preserve it.
The problem with that loan was not that it was denominated in GBP or that it carried interest, but that the Spitfires purchased with those funds never reached Poland.
